Advent:: A Call to Remembrance, Honor and Preparation

While I don't adhere to any man's ideas or prescribed readings, rote memorization, etc...regarding worship.
I like the idea of Advent and lighting candles commemorating the Fullness of Christ. I do believe it's important to honor Christ; on His birth, His Death, and His Eternal gift --while waiting for His Promised Return.

This is my first ever celebration of Advent in our home by lighting candles.

I think it's pretty!
When I see these candles...it is a joyful reminder to me.

Very nice display. I know this is off the subject, but those candles are really different-- very fun!

Oooh . . .your candle display is gorgeous! Adorable candles! There's something powerful in the act of ritual, isn't there? And when you combine it with Scripture . . . it's just such a great way to focus on the real meaning of Christmas!

I've never lit them at home, either. We do it at my church... Love your sentiment, your tub and those cute candles!

WOnderful! December is flying away and I feel like I've missed yet another opportunity to set our family priorities around Advent. I'm going to try to do something about it TODAY. Thanks for the reminder, and for sticking with me in reading my blog when I post and visit so seldom these days! I appreciate your support.
