I bought her3 blue...I've got a broody hen too. I bought her3 blue fertilized eggs and put them under her. She gets off the nest once or twice a day to eat and poo. On the first day, my blue laying chicken managed to get in and lay a 4th egg! Now why didn't I mark the first eggs? Well, I dotted the 3 I think are developing and put a ? on the 4th. Our hen thinks she is broody a...At least she tries! Our hen thinks she is broody and will try to hide eggs beneath her as I am collecting but in a couple of days she just gives up and leaves. No naturally hatched chicks.
