I opened up the blog and have tried more than twice…<em>lost track</em>… to edit the type and make it larger on my previous post. I wrote that post and had it scheduled to go up on Wednesday morning, because it was the last ICAD post and it was easier to do it that way. I like the <em>scheduling feature</em>. </font></p> <p><font size="3">I finally had to open up Live Writer and make my edits (<em>enlarge the font</em>) and repost it. What a head-ache. </font></p> <p><font size="3">This is just a small technical thing. Something I used to love dealing with when it came to my blog. There was a time when I would love sitting down to the computer and spending time dinking around in the back ground making the pages look better, putting up links or changing out photos; all because I loved babying my blog. </font></p> <p><font size="3">Its obvious that passion for blogging and the zeal and the fun that I’ve had doing those things, as well as writing posts, has waned. Gone are the days when I had time ( NO MADE TIME) to do all the little things it takes to run this blog. </font></p> <p><font size="3">I’ve been blogging here for over eight years. Its been hit and miss some times. There have been times I’ve taken leave of the blog to care for others, tend to life or just take a <strong><em>big fat time out. </em></strong></font></p> <p><font size="3">There are many people I’ve met, who have come through this door into my life and have been a real blessing to me and my family. You have cheered me, encouraged me, befriended me in various aspects of my life. Many of you, I have grown to love as sisters and we remain in contact via email and phone calls—regardless of the blog posts—all of you mean so much to me. It’s a hard decision. </font></p> <p><font size="3"><font size="3">I have school coming up in a couple of weeks. Honestly, I’m not even registered for a class yet, <em>You know how I procrastinate!</em> Without going into all the details I’ll just say, I need my family and they need me. Keeping them close is important.</font></font></p> <p><font size="3">The time has come for me to make that final decision and leave blogging behind.</font></p> <p><font size="3"> <a href="https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-E55Tsp9AKeQ/V66Zcu5qpAI/AAAAAAAASCc/LmYGG5Pjtpg/s1600-h/image%25255B16%25255D.png"><img title="image" style="border-top: 0px; border-right: 0px; background-image: none; border-bottom: 0px; padding-top: 0px; padding-left: 0px; border-left: 0px; display: inline; padding-right: 0px" border="0" alt="image" src="https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-wKxgJnIe308/V66ZeWYD1XI/AAAAAAAASCg/Z3fjGAUULSo/image_thumb%25255B8%25255D.png?imgmax=800" width="366" height="454"></a></font></p> <p><font size="3"><font size="3">It’s not about content. Corn in my Coffee-Pot is <a href="http://corninmycoffee-pot.blogspot.com/2011/04/attempting-to-define-my-blog.html">ALL THE CONTENT</a>. <em>You know how openly I’ve shared whatever was perking.</em> There has never been a time when I didn’t really have something to talk about here. If I didn’t have a DIY post to share, then I would talk about life, family, <a href="http://corninmycoffee-pot.blogspot.com/search/label/Garden">gardening</a>, <a href="http://corninmycoffee-pot.blogspot.com/2014/06/running-for-my-life.html">health</a>, <a href="http://corninmycoffee-pot.blogspot.com/search/label/~Frugal%20Fodder">Frugal Fodder</a>, <a href="http://corninmycoffee-pot.blogspot.com/2013/05/drop-off-dogs.html">drop-off Dogs</a> or grand-children. </font></font></p> <p><font size="3">I’ve almost always blogged without obligation—but knowing that my blog is sitting here waiting for me to make a move, type something or reach out and add to the fodder that is the Web, nags at me. It doesn’t seem right to come and go with such irregularity. </font></p> <p><font size="3">I’ve made the decision to leave the blog up. I will tweak the sidebars and also adjust some pages/ tabs making it easier for my Pinterest traffic that comes for inquiries on the <em><a href="http://corninmycoffee-pot.blogspot.com/2012/02/faux-wood-floor-paper-decoupage-floor.html">Faux wood Paper floor</a></em> easier to find. Other than that, most of it will stay as is, so not to mess up links or create broken links. </font></p> <p><font size="3">As always, there is the question,”Will I return to blogging”? That’s always a possibility and I suppose it could happen, <em>You know how indecisive I can be!</em> However, it probably won’t be here at Corn in my Coffee-Pot. </font></p> <p><font size="3"> Be Blessed, as you have all blessed me so very much in your faithfulness to read and kind words!</font></p> <p><font size="3">‘Til we meet again! The one pictured below…was NOT one of them!</font></p> <p><a href="https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-MqKgRSCl5w8/V6ffLXjkQ4I/AAAAAAAAR_M/38KInSejJh8/s1600-h/image%25255B21%25255D.png"><font size="3"><a href="https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-MqKgRSCl5w8/V6ffLXjkQ4I/AAAAAAAAR_Q/kO3wpsubNrce7sIsBVEgDml6khYakM14wCHM/s1600-h/image%255B27%255D"><img title="image" style="border-top: 0px; border-right: 0px; background-image: none; border-bottom: 0px; padding-top: 0px; padding-left: 0px; border-left: 0px; display: inline; padding-right: 0px" border="0" alt="image" src="https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-wnJPDs-fHoE/V6ffNTk2mPI/AAAAAAAAR_U/WbJanm1kJUw/image_thumb%25255B13%25255D.png?imgmax=800" width="454" height="351"></a></font></a></p> <p><font size="3">The Honey built that closet. I called it a utility closet… but it was mainly storage and hardly ever utilized to it’s potential. </font></p> <p><font size="3">I cleaned this room out in 2010—which seems like FOR-EV-ER AGO!!! I had joined </font><a href="http://www.funkyjunkinteriors.net/"><font size="3">Donna at FJI</font></a><font size="3"> for a workshop series. As time passed, we could never use it because things get dropped, laid, stacked (you name it) in front of those doors. Not a functional closet. </font></p> <p><font size="3">Then in 2014 we thought we would be moving. The realtor that toured the house and truly disappointed me, wouldn’t even list our bedroom as a bedroom because…</font></p> <p><font size="3">THERE </font></p> <p><font size="3">WAS </font></p> <p><font size="3">NO </font></p> <p><font size="3">CLOSET. </font></p> <p><font size="3">bummer. </font></p> <p><font size="3">I’ve wanted a closet and often wondered why we made this closet here in the mudroom/laundry room/back porch? <br />
What a crazy week that was! We got a brand new grand daughter. While Momma was in the hospital, the Three Brothers were camped-out at our house! It was complete and utter excitement! <br />
There was hardly a minute to ICAD—I found left-over cards and somehow muddled through. <br />
This started out as a “hero- cape” the previous week. It didn’t happen. <br />
Baby-girl Autumn was born ( she was a surprise gender and no one knew what we were getting) I felt sure it was a girl. But my daughter <em>the pregnant one… </em>Thought for sure this pregnancy was no different than the previous three. Ha! Boy was she surprised! <br />
So… back to the card, this cape sort of looked pink in the right light… so <br />
Day 50: Paisley. <em>a lovely pink paisley blankie! </em><a href="https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-vEjkMVMdjEc/V5_MYtLsQcI/AAAAAAAAR9I/tDcusynwFzc/s1600-h/image%25255B2%25255D.png"><img alt="image" border="0" height="188" src="https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-2j28iHPinEo/V5_MZZsJHtI/AAAAAAAAR9M/nqauOFEmS2o/image_thumb.png?imgmax=800" style="background-image: none; border-bottom: 0px; border-left: 0px; border-right: 0px; border-top: 0px; display: inline; margin: 0px; padding-left: 0px; padding-right: 0px; padding-top: 0px;" title="image" width="363" /></a><br />
Day 51: Purple was the theme. <br />
This card was also an extra—These doodles were made from a template I was trying to make <em>Thespian style masks</em> from the theatre or drama. Just by using a template upside down and backwards. I added the ticket and the PURPLE BORDER… trying to stay within the theme. <a href="https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-ywPgPQfHRX4/V5_MZ_t5HLI/AAAAAAAAR9Q/2ApbitQ3pPo/s1600-h/image%25255B23%25255D.png"><img alt="image" border="0" height="273" src="https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-9CJ6Zkbuj64/V5_Ma6OuD9I/AAAAAAAAR9U/yBHIqkBGxnQ/image_thumb%25255B9%25255D.png?imgmax=800" style="background-image: none; border-bottom: 0px; border-left: 0px; border-right: 0px; border-top: 0px; display: inline; padding-left: 0px; padding-right: 0px; padding-top: 0px;" title="image" width="454" /></a><br />
<br />
Day 52: Stairs. <br />
A quick sketch. My train of thought was the last step is a doozie! <br />
I don’t know that it played out that way, but sometimes we step into things and before you know it we’re in over our heads! <br />
<a href="https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/--jD04GiBAkg/V5_MbYRo59I/AAAAAAAAR9Y/4CuHhrs-H0w/s1600-h/image%25255B22%25255D.png"><img alt="image" border="0" height="264" src="https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-fNtZ6_H4q7E/V5_McPwKZzI/AAAAAAAAR9c/x0YbfWTLnA4/image_thumb%25255B8%25255D.png?imgmax=800" style="background-image: none; border-bottom: 0px; border-left: 0px; border-right: 0px; border-top: 0px; display: inline; padding-left: 0px; padding-right: 0px; padding-top: 0px;" title="image" width="454" /></a><br />
<br />
Day 53: Fortune Cookie- We (the Honey and I )figured out this summer that our favorite China Buffet… makes more money off us if we stay for the All-u-Can-Eat buffet. It’s actually cheaper if we get take out and they charge by the pound. … The reason behind this fortune. <a href="https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-u9n3fhsE424/V5_McgHTSOI/AAAAAAAAR9g/UbdXRdv7030/s1600-h/image%25255B21%25255D.png"><img alt="image" border="0" height="247" src="https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-wl8tJiKKH6Y/V5_MdWY5X7I/AAAAAAAAR9k/bkR3kuBCmqk/image_thumb%25255B7%25255D.png?imgmax=800" style="background-image: none; border-bottom: 0px; border-left: 0px; border-right: 0px; border-top: 0px; display: inline; padding-left: 0px; padding-right: 0px; padding-top: 0px;" title="image" width="454" /></a><br />
<br />
Day 54: AQUARIUM another left over. I made lots of cards before hand… just doodling around some days. This water color started out looking like mountains. But during a hectic week with my thumb print fish ( a first grade art trick) It quite resembles and aquarium. It also, reminds me that I’m not swimming around in this puddle alone. <a href="https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-BFjeAVZXP78/V5_MeJxDIQI/AAAAAAAAR9o/SNux4_pZgz4/s1600-h/image%25255B24%25255D.png"><img alt="image" border="0" height="270" src="https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-V0OxdY9r38Y/V5_MfSXXGbI/AAAAAAAAR9s/Owlmzd9jFQw/image_thumb%25255B10%25255D.png?imgmax=800" style="background-image: none; border-bottom: 0px; border-left: 0px; border-right: 0px; border-top: 0px; display: inline; padding-left: 0px; padding-right: 0px; padding-top: 0px;" title="image" width="454" /></a><br />
Day 55: OLYMPICS-- <br />
I’ll admit. I’ve been a bit pre-occupied to watch or keep up with the Olympics. So yeah… Go,Team U.S.A.!!! (left-over card) <br />
<a href="https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-BwjIytvIlwI/V5_MgN5VTOI/AAAAAAAAR9w/ixPup6_I_-E/s1600-h/image%25255B17%25255D.png"><img alt="image" border="0" height="231" src="https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-whb5Bq0oMjw/V5_Mg3vxuAI/AAAAAAAAR90/_ON22wzNd0g/image_thumb%25255B5%25255D.png?imgmax=800" style="background-image: none; border-bottom: 0px; border-left: 0px; border-right: 0px; border-top: 0px; display: inline; margin: 0px; padding-left: 0px; padding-right: 0px; padding-top: 0px;" title="image" width="387" /></a><br />
<br />
Day 56: TEXTURE again… not much time went into this. Its a rubbing of a backward template and I happen to like that I couldn’t get them straight or even. <br />
<a href="https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-we1IKLZAOEw/V5_Mi5Z8T_I/AAAAAAAAR94/R7PdigbFmTU/s1600-h/image%25255B20%25255D.png"><img alt="image" border="0" height="274" src="https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-1ZAok2zLJ10/V5_MjkFuAZI/AAAAAAAAR98/9NQ3BJL6Qq0/image_thumb%25255B6%25255D.png?imgmax=800" style="background-image: none; border-bottom: 0px; border-left: 0px; border-right: 0px; border-top: 0px; display: inline; margin: 0px; padding-left: 0px; padding-right: 0px; padding-top: 0px;" title="image" width="454" /></a><br />
<br />
Some weeks are just busy. I’m glad I had all these ‘left-over’ cards and didn’t toss them. They came in handy when there wasn’t lots of time for arting it up! <br />
‘Til next time. <br />
There is one more post after this… it’s a 61 day series during the months of June and July! Thanks for looking!<br />

I might have mentioned I have an ‘ARTner’ in crime so to speak … Bree has been working at ICAD with me… she’s not generally here on the weekends and gets a little perturbed when she gets behind. She is so much like me! <br />
Anyway—we draw together some mornings while I have coffee! Making memories! She is a HOOT! <br />

<a href="http://daisyyellowart.com/vividlife/4-part-index-card-series">FOUR PART SERIES</a> EXPERIMENT: At some point I think in June there was a four part series prompt. I created these next four cards and set them aside. I decided to start using them this week and then CRISIS, TRAGEDY AND VIOLENCE ERUPTED. <br />
These cards depict my heart that week and of course Scripture. <br />

Painting fabric isn’t my idea. No. It’s definitely been done before. The idea came when I realized I was out of options for that moment and I had a crazy eureka moment that actually worked out for me! <br />
<a href="https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-MLXZJVpSncE/V5xBDqtaj9I/AAAAAAAAR7s/-ZwuC1100Mw/s1600-h/IMG_3660%25255B3%25255D.jpg"><img alt="IMG_3660" border="0" height="373" src="https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-3qnbnNecYtU/V5xBD93lBPI/AAAAAAAAR7w/m38pjHpkIkc/IMG_3660_thumb.jpg?imgmax=800" style="background-image: none; border-bottom: 0px; border-left: 0px; border-right: 0px; border-top: 0px; display: inline; padding-left: 0px; padding-right: 0px; padding-top: 0px;" title="IMG_3660" width="281" /></a><br />
Summer hasn’t been all ICAD and Babies—though this little project is INDIRECTLY related to both my artistic abilities like Paint and to smudgy fingers! <br />
You can see in this picture two chairs… one nice and buttery yellow, the other let’s just say DAMAGED. Grimy hands and fumble-fingers leave a <em>thick layer of ugly</em> on the chairs. <br />
<a href="https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-jz-3rsWJqcg/V5xBER3_XMI/AAAAAAAAR70/cb7It1QuZfQ/s1600-h/IMG_3549%25255B3%25255D.jpg"><img alt="IMG_3549" border="0" height="373" src="https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-xAvDJJgHhRA/V5xBEys9dRI/AAAAAAAAR74/WQlsER_9Ayg/IMG_3549_thumb.jpg?imgmax=800" style="background-image: none; border-bottom: 0px; border-left: 0px; border-right: 0px; border-top: 0px; display: inline; padding-left: 0px; padding-right: 0px; padding-top: 0px;" title="IMG_3549" width="281" /></a><br />
This set of chairs, I have covered and recovered. They’re good solid chairs – so no need to get new ones. This time I decided to paint them. <br />
Just the seats. <br />
Not the wood. <br />
Here is where the DIY gets <em>touch and go</em> with this little project: <br />
You see, I set out making a DIY chalk paint with some buttery yellow paint I had in my Ooops! Paint supply closet and <a href="http://www.myrepurposedlife.com/diy-chalky-paint-recipe-makes-a-great-primer/">this recipe from MRL—</a><br />
I’ve used Gail’s recipe for years and it works for me! <br />
The problem is I wanted to paint <strong><em>on fabric</em></strong> and have it stay somewhat soft—but be durable as well. I mean, as DIYers, we ALL GET CRAZY NOTIONS, right? <br />
<a href="https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-OaDliiDpF4s/V5xBFPoIgcI/AAAAAAAAR78/cdEeKn_2XYg/s1600-h/IMG_3547%25255B3%25255D.jpg"><img alt="IMG_3547" border="0" height="373" src="https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-ZJyYGk6TpZU/V5xBFhGikyI/AAAAAAAAR8A/ZDWfF1Y-2j4/IMG_3547_thumb.jpg?imgmax=800" style="background-image: none; border-bottom: 0px; border-left: 0px; border-right: 0px; border-top: 0px; display: inline; padding-left: 0px; padding-right: 0px; padding-top: 0px;" title="IMG_3547" width="281" /></a><br />
<strong>So I added SHAVING CREAM</strong>! I did a little bit of research—and several people have said that glycerin was a key ingredient for fabric medium type paint. <br />
I did NOT have glycerine—but I had shaving cream. Shaving cream that I THOUGHT <em>had</em> glycerin as an ingredient. Now… mid-summer and I’m checking my ingredients. There appears to be no glycerin in the shaving cream that currently sits on the bathroom counter. <br />
However, you can plainly see that I added shaving cream to my paint <br />
<strong><em>OR…</em></strong> <br />
<em>My ice cream cone from the local Dairy Queen. </em><br />
I assure you that’s NO CONE. It’s shaving cream…sans glycerin. <br />
<strong>YES! I ADDED SHAVING CREAM</strong>—with no real reasoning behind it. <em>Don’t judge me, crazy DIYer. </em><br />
I mixed it well and then, I painted my chairs with it. <br />
Stenciled them using an old doily and a dry brush—and various other jars of paint I had in the paint closet. <br />
Waxed it with <a href="http://amzn.to/2aoGA1M">Minwax Finishing Wax</a>—I rubbed it on there really good after letting the DIY <em>shaving cream</em> –chalk paint dry about 24 hours. <br />
… And Ta-Dah! <br />
Soft- fabric seats. They repel water, wash up after the kiddos have been in them …and they SMELL CLEAN SHAVEN TOO! <br />
I’m only telling you this because once upon a time, a long time ago, I <a href="http://corninmycoffee-pot.blogspot.com/2012/12/how-totable-and-chair.html">painted some chairs for my porch</a> (in a quick hurry) <br />
<a href="https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-b0P1Y2pOOxU/V5xBGhnVtSI/AAAAAAAAR8E/H0tniF2t3gw/s1600-h/image%25255B2%25255D.png"><img alt="image" border="0" height="336" src="https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-AicS6CTMKAY/V5xBIZZ-s3I/AAAAAAAAR8I/Kl_xntwhRW4/image_thumb.png?imgmax=800" style="background-image: none; border-bottom: 0px; border-left: 0px; border-right: 0px; border-top: 0px; display: inline; margin: 0px; padding-left: 0px; padding-right: 0px; padding-top: 0px;" title="image" width="403" /></a><br />
While they have lasted… the paint has cracked and they are NOT soft and they could use a make over. <br />
<em>Just not THIS SUMMER. </em><br />
<a href="https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-dKVLerMYsDY/V5xBJZm9DrI/AAAAAAAAR8M/a8EVBv3idu8/s1600-h/image%25255B7%25255D.png"><img alt="image" border="0" height="298" src="https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-D3sTbL0WMLI/V5xBKNMe94I/AAAAAAAAR8Q/jW3AVkgVqjo/image_thumb%25255B3%25255D.png?imgmax=800" style="background-image: none; border-bottom: 0px; border-left: 0px; border-right: 0px; border-top: 0px; display: inline; padding-left: 0px; padding-right: 0px; padding-top: 0px;" title="image" width="390" /></a><br />
I AM thinking I should paint the seat on this <a href="http://corninmycoffee-pot.blogspot.com/2012/03/my-very-own-3-chair-bench.html">3 chair-bench</a> though… <br />
‘Til next time, think outside the box! <br />

day 36 CRYSTAL <br />
I experimented with this one a little. I used white crayon to create the crystal (spikey portion) and water colors to wash over it. After it dried I went around the crystal lightly with a pencil. It’s sort of like decorating an easter egg with crayon then dying it. I used my calligraphy pen to write Crystal… and it ran. At first I thought I should have waited to write that part… but I liked it in the end. <br />
<a href="https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-utdkr7dCC_w/V5UErIBtLyI/AAAAAAAAR3c/jTxmt-2U7DA/s1600-h/image%25255B2%25255D.png"><img alt="image" border="0" height="373" src="https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-V6HP5OfVX8Y/V5UEs3m0yWI/AAAAAAAAR3g/rY6MMyqdES0/image_thumb.png?imgmax=800" style="background-image: none; border-bottom: 0px; border-left: 0px; border-right: 0px; border-top: 0px; display: inline; margin: 0px; padding-left: 0px; padding-right: 0px; padding-top: 0px;" title="image" width="423" /></a><br />
<br />
day 37 MEDITATION – I have seen lots of mandala s around in artwork lately and Adult coloring books…which I do not own… ha! Really. These cards keep me busy enough artwork wise. I went with scripture and this take of a mandala. It made my eyes cross!<br />
<br />
<a href="https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-lbbswT48VOQ/V5UEvBvCVYI/AAAAAAAAR3k/IhamzHknN14/s1600-h/image%25255B5%25255D.png"><img alt="image" border="0" height="346" src="https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-izJLqOmNGpg/V5UEwsgTacI/AAAAAAAAR3o/eEDA0xHs1LY/image_thumb%25255B1%25255D.png?imgmax=800" style="background-image: none; border-bottom: 0px; border-left: 0px; border-right: 0px; border-top: 0px; display: inline; margin: 0px; padding-left: 0px; padding-right: 0px; padding-top: 0px;" title="image" width="454" /></a><br />
<br />
day 38 FOLK ART – I had fun with this little template of my grand-daughter’s all the parts on this card were drawn using some form of this template. (except for the frogs tongue) Can you find them? <br />
<a href="https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-zRESy8QiyQU/V5UEyCJ_TUI/AAAAAAAAR3s/SZLjBlX31Cs/s1600-h/image%25255B8%25255D.png"><img alt="image" border="0" height="324" src="https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-do9InpL74r8/V5UEzJXX6pI/AAAAAAAAR3w/e5O0YgxIQJ4/image_thumb%25255B2%25255D.png?imgmax=800" style="background-image: none; border-bottom: 0px; border-left: 0px; border-right: 0px; border-top: 0px; display: inline; margin: 0px; padding-left: 0px; padding-right: 0px; padding-top: 0px;" title="image" width="454" /></a><br />
Oh, and someone thought the tongue was grasping a fly…but it’s really my signature!<br />
<a href="https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-tLkUU9I0Hnw/V5UE00Kh3sI/AAAAAAAAR30/diw-gZON8og/s1600-h/image%25255B11%25255D.png"><img alt="image" border="0" height="294" src="https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-8HvyiB4Wn2o/V5UE2HJ_tAI/AAAAAAAAR34/HJMHZzWSXJo/image_thumb%25255B3%25255D.png?imgmax=800" style="background-image: none; border-bottom: 0px; border-left: 0px; border-right: 0px; border-top: 0px; display: inline; margin: 0px; padding-left: 0px; padding-right: 0px; padding-top: 0px;" title="image" width="454" /></a><br />
<br />
day 39 LENSE - This card for me is a Do-over. A nod to last years cards and my sketch book that I bought after ICAD last year. I bought the sketch book because I enjoyed expressing myself creatively in this way. Well, I accidentally skipped the first page, I don’t know how but I did! When so I left it blank about a week or so and then drew this as the cover page. For the prompt LENSE- I DECIDED TO DRAW IT AGAIN. I like having it as an index card!<br />
<a href="https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-Qy2ZtEtPnCU/V5UE4AL2BaI/AAAAAAAAR38/csIs3IrMY1Y/s1600-h/image%25255B14%25255D.png"><img alt="image" border="0" height="365" src="https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-oSziQZ5AJVw/V5UE5DsPRHI/AAAAAAAAR4A/NyQbiH2U4Uc/image_thumb%25255B4%25255D.png?imgmax=800" style="background-image: none; border-bottom: 0px; border-left: 0px; border-right: 0px; border-top: 0px; display: inline; margin: 0px; padding-left: 0px; padding-right: 0px; padding-top: 0px;" title="image" width="454" /></a><br />
<br />
day 40 SURFBOARD - Surfboards are an expression of taste and interests right? These were fun!<br />
<br />
<a href="https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-502ynCEwgSY/V5UE7O7rL-I/AAAAAAAAR4E/7VvDKI3DgKQ/s1600-h/image%25255B17%25255D.png"><img alt="image" border="0" height="319" src="https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-dNpJuXOu_1g/V5UE9HDKZgI/AAAAAAAAR4I/PT_RcfNJr34/image_thumb%25255B5%25255D.png?imgmax=800" style="background-image: none; border-bottom: 0px; border-left: 0px; border-right: 0px; border-top: 0px; display: inline; margin: 0px; padding-left: 0px; padding-right: 0px; padding-top: 0px;" title="image" width="454" /></a><br />
day 41 LONGITUDE/LATITUDE – We’ve had lots of experience with Childrens Hospital of Dallas – this day, I had a grand son there for dental surgery. Its just another journal type card—I see how life, worries, and events come out in my artwork! <br />
<a href="https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-BozcbBjAaxw/V5UE_Pv2KDI/AAAAAAAAR4M/ReL52GqIgFU/s1600-h/image%25255B20%25255D.png"><img alt="image" border="0" height="315" src="https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-NY4mOGwLe0U/V5UFAfwnNjI/AAAAAAAAR4Q/aI7MYQR9INg/image_thumb%25255B6%25255D.png?imgmax=800" style="background-image: none; border-bottom: 0px; border-left: 0px; border-right: 0px; border-top: 0px; display: inline; margin: 0px; padding-left: 0px; padding-right: 0px; padding-top: 0px;" title="image" width="454" /></a><br />
<br />
day 42 YELLOW - all the yellow map pencils I could find and one gray crayola marker (and a straight edge) <br />
<a href="https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-etorVvkr4z0/V5UFDUb5OPI/AAAAAAAAR4U/AhsJCynek2M/s1600-h/image%25255B23%25255D.png"><img alt="image" border="0" height="275" src="https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-preF9PxwRwo/V5UFEVFytjI/AAAAAAAAR4Y/qtNZlYeZmAI/image_thumb%25255B7%25255D.png?imgmax=800" style="background-image: none; border-bottom: 0px; border-left: 0px; border-right: 0px; border-top: 0px; display: inline; margin: 0px; padding-left: 0px; padding-right: 0px; padding-top: 0px;" title="image" width="454" /></a><br />
I’m trying to get these rolled out here because next week is the last week of ICAD! <br />
‘Til next time<br />

But really, it isn’t like that at all. </p> <p>*~*~*~*~*~*~ </p> <p>Now, onto the cards! </p> <p>22. This day, I began walking again and exercising for my health. Working on bringing diabetes into check. Spiritually speaking—I was looking at areas of my life that were over taken and running amok. Exercise and Scripture coming together in ART. </p> <p><a href="https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-XsjtMWF92Qs/V4b8oiVYAEI/AAAAAAAARuk/Q1B-Tk5-IJ8/s1600-h/image%25255B2%25255D.png"><img title="image" style="border-top: 0px; border-right: 0px; background-image: none; border-bottom: 0px; padding-top: 0px; padding-left: 0px; border-left: 0px; margin: 0px; display: inline; padding-right: 0px" border="0" alt="image" src="https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-bAIvtUtiJhM/V4b8p7BYdcI/AAAAAAAARuo/1xCkj4BbSoo/image_thumb.png?imgmax=800" width="454" height="287"></a></p> <p>23. Days are getting warmer here--- This card’s theme WINTER. A pause to cool off if only in my mind. </p> <p><a href="https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-yxMreg9zcmA/V4b8rewSXgI/AAAAAAAARus/0gcHj-2f-sE/s1600-h/image%25255B5%25255D.png"><img title="image" style="border-top: 0px; border-right: 0px; background-image: none; border-bottom: 0px; padding-top: 0px; padding-left: 0px; border-left: 0px; margin: 0px; display: inline; padding-right: 0px" border="0" alt="image" src="https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-En8O3OrkMaA/V4b8sJDVxQI/AAAAAAAARuw/bA5aPYKx5II/image_thumb%25255B1%25255D.png?imgmax=800" width="454" height="291"></a></p> <p>24. No time this day… I used a previously prepared ‘purple hued’ card and added MAGENTA and some doodly-flowers. Done! </p> <p><a href="https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-4VFa3KWD3U4/V4b8umOUl5I/AAAAAAAARu0/tblV64iGrSM/s1600-h/image%25255B8%25255D.png"><img title="image" style="border-top: 0px; border-right: 0px; background-image: none; border-bottom: 0px; padding-top: 0px; padding-left: 0px; border-left: 0px; margin: 0px; display: inline; padding-right: 0px" border="0" alt="image" src="https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-Y0HK29ABYuc/V4b8vx7ROFI/AAAAAAAARu4/Zg1tbtwAuJQ/image_thumb%25255B2%25255D.png?imgmax=800" width="454" height="296"></a></p> <p>25. Another journal type card—Sebastyan, (a twin cousin) doesn’t have a huge vocabulary yet. But he sings (on key) Happy Birthday! … This card’s theme, SONG. It was a perfect collaboration. </p> <p><a href="https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-3fIFHcVnHlU/V4b8xmm-r0I/AAAAAAAARu8/xWzfuG7yUA8/s1600-h/image%25255B11%25255D.png"><img title="image" style="border-top: 0px; border-right: 0px; background-image: none; border-bottom: 0px; padding-top: 0px; padding-left: 0px; border-left: 0px; margin: 0px; display: inline; padding-right: 0px" border="0" alt="image" src="https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-PNcWGtQdcig/V4b8y1uehpI/AAAAAAAARvA/LERJ8DxXXvE/image_thumb%25255B3%25255D.png?imgmax=800" width="454" height="304"></a></p> <p>26. The theme for this card? SPACE INVADERS. Is it the spider invading our porch or is it us invading the spiders country setting? </p> <p><a href="https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-5cXUv1zCs4c/V4b80fE1ZBI/AAAAAAAARvE/PhpZd659XAc/s1600-h/image%25255B14%25255D.png"><img title="image" style="border-top: 0px; border-right: 0px; background-image: none; border-bottom: 0px; padding-top: 0px; padding-left: 0px; border-left: 0px; margin: 0px; display: inline; padding-right: 0px" border="0" alt="image" src="https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-ZtMQrv-CBm0/V4b81zlqu6I/AAAAAAAARvI/CtdwJXd8yH8/image_thumb%25255B4%25255D.png?imgmax=800" width="454" height="281"></a></p> <p>27. This card’s theme; MOTEL. I wouldn’t stay here (I won’t say NEVER) but… it looks a bit seedy. I’m doing lots of reading this summer as well, and this one… sparked my imagination! </p> <p><a href="https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-ygEUO4syqZo/V4b83-t70cI/AAAAAAAARvM/OxzJxfADXQE/s1600-h/image%25255B17%25255D.png"><img title="image" style="border-top: 0px; border-right: 0px; background-image: none; border-bottom: 0px; padding-top: 0px; padding-left: 0px; border-left: 0px; margin: 0px; display: inline; padding-right: 0px" border="0" alt="image" src="https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-gKgro_KPQuI/V4b85dqy-yI/AAAAAAAARvQ/nSRZn8CqRto/image_thumb%25255B5%25255D.png?imgmax=800" width="432" height="373"></a></p> <p>28. Dogs or Cats was the given theme for this card. This reminds me of my scruffy boy BUSTER. </p> <p><a href="https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-g-1rMrVvn9s/V4b87G_vw1I/AAAAAAAARvU/oU9Pg9REXOA/s1600-h/image%25255B23%25255D.png"><img title="image" style="border-top: 0px; border-right: 0px; background-image: none; border-bottom: 0px; padding-top: 0px; padding-left: 0px; border-left: 0px; margin: 0px; display: inline; padding-right: 0px" border="0" alt="image" src="https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-Q6i7ruzgfiQ/V4b8874ZgYI/AAAAAAAARvY/4purTX3jClQ/image_thumb%25255B7%25255D.png?imgmax=800" width="454" height="285"></a></p> <p>Hope your summer is full of fun and creative moments! I also hope you’re given some free time to spend with loved ones, gardening, playing, or whatever suites your fancy! </p> <p>‘Til Next time, be blessed. </p> <p><strong><em><font size="5" face="Segoe Script">Patricia </font></em></strong></p>Patricia @ 9th and Denverhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/04786692442689958889noreply@blogger.com3tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9173649280963485189.post-45810971673232189912016-07-08T22:36:00.001-05:002016-07-08T22:36:15.993-05:00It’s ICAD not ICADs…<p> </p> <p>I can't speak for other bloggers, only myself. <br>I'm very dependent upon Instagram, right now. It is quick and instant. I like the connection I get there, and most of the Insta-grammers I connect with are </p> <p>1. family that doesn't read my blog or </p> <p>2. people whose blogs I've read in the past. </p> <p>Though, I have linked up with some Insta-grammers (is that a word?) who I otherwise would not know, except for Instagram. More recently, I've thought about ditching some of those I follow. Simply put... I don't recall why I'm following them! <br></p> <p>Anyway, as to blogging, I go back and forth and right now, I am blogging mostly what I've posted on Instagram... That’s ICADs for me. ICADs … I think is incorrect. I think it should be ICsAD … (pronounced; ick-sad ) <br>For some reason this event has become a 'thing' for me. I'm passionate about it. I like doing it. It's become part of me now. Part of the artsy- me. </p> <p>I like art. It was one of my favorite classes so far in school! Some consider it a waste of time, but for me it’s not. It’s important. So important… that I do it (create) everyday, in some form or fashion. Right now it’s ICAD. </p> <p>I have many aspects of creativity in my being. Why I feel the need to create, I don’t know. But I do! Much of it is digging in and finding how what ever it is I’m working on at the moment… is related to me. Why must I make it? Why must I get it out? It’s almost journaling—I can certainly look back through my cards and see a snap shot of what I’m going through at the moment. While I do follow the prompts—I go my own direction with them, some are on a very personal level. </p> <p>Here is week 3- </p> <p>15. bouquet </p> <p><a href="https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/--F8hJuKcvhs/V4BwraD8xGI/AAAAAAAARmg/ZLhp5R5ZRhw/s1600-h/image20.png"><img title="image" style="border-left-width: 0px; border-right-width: 0px; background-image: none; border-bottom-width: 0px; padding-top: 0px; padding-left: 0px; margin: 0px; display: inline; padding-right: 0px; border-top-width: 0px" border="0" alt="image" src="https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-H3QtPM_0MUY/V4BwtX53lmI/AAAAAAAARmk/ZZyo6-eLiAo/image_thumb6.png?imgmax=800" width="454" height="312"></a></p> <p>16. Dreams I’ve seen come to be and some yet to be! </p> <p>8. ISLAND</p> <p><a href="https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-jVtvqVFcXas/V3f3XhThs-I/AAAAAAAARg4/9cVCs9DZuDI/s1600-h/image20.png"><img title="image" style="border-left-width: 0px; border-right-width: 0px; background-image: none; border-bottom-width: 0px; padding-top: 0px; padding-left: 0px; margin: 0px; display: inline; padding-right: 0px; border-top-width: 0px" border="0" alt="image" src="https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-XubDazSRzrE/V3f3ZE9DFuI/AAAAAAAARg8/lnLTWuaaYAU/image_thumb6.png?imgmax=800" width="454" height="356"></a></p> <p>I have a fear of flying… so #IfIcouldfly . My brother would love for me to visit the Isle of Man and the Netherlands…I would love to travel there with him. So, It’s somewhat of a dream that I have, too. #someday</p> <p>9. COMPASS</p> <p><a href="https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-vO20i7ZkiRA/V3f3ayp7HSI/AAAAAAAARhA/e76a4xrwPOA/s1600-h/image17.png"><img title="image" style="border-left-width: 0px; border-right-width: 0px; background-image: none; border-bottom-width: 0px; padding-top: 0px; padding-left: 0px; margin: 0px; display: inline; padding-right: 0px; border-top-width: 0px" border="0" alt="image" src="https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-VUA_7rI-DfU/V3f3b-P5oUI/AAAAAAAARhE/4auXU5aeuAA/image_thumb5.png?imgmax=800" width="454" height="318"></a></p> <blockquote> <p>“True enough this compass does not point north… It points to the thing you want most in this world.” ~ Jack Sparrow</p></blockquote> <p>10. Plan properly. <p>I can say I’m going to do this or that… but unless I’ve prayed and asked God his direction, it’s really just an idea. Not much to it. <p><a href="https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-O5xSPoPNKr0/V3HqakydHsI/AAAAAAAARfc/DY3-ce4NXEc/s1600-h/IMG_5913%25255B4%25255D.jpg"><img title="IMG_5913" style="border-left-width: 0px; border-right-width: 0px; background-image: none; border-bottom-width: 0px; padding-top: 0px; padding-left: 0px; display: inline; padding-right: 0px; border-top-width: 0px" border="0" alt="IMG_5913" src="https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-ic7L8d2WKp4/V3HqbWabKNI/AAAAAAAARfg/3yjyoXbJdhE/IMG_5913_thumb%25255B1%25255D.jpg?imgmax=800" width="342" height="454"></a> <blockquote> <p>“Yet you do not know what your life will be like tomorrow. You are just a vapor that appears for a little while and then vanishes away.</p></blockquote> <p>Of course, there is also, the unexpected illness that tends to throw a wrench into the works too. Don’t get me wrong—I’m not thrilled about the way things are going with my health at the moment. However, I do believe, that the LORD will slow us down from time to time—causing us to REST in Him and take into account our daily lives. Making the most of how we walk… not becoming tied down with counting the days so much as weighing the intent of our hearts. <p><a href="https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-VxFo_MbNQNU/V3HqcKDmBFI/AAAAAAAARfs/9TQe-EJSnzU/s1600-h/IMG_4087%25255B4%25255D.jpg"><img title="IMG_4087" style="border-left-width: 0px; border-right-width: 0px; background-image: none; border-bottom-width: 0px; padding-top: 0px; padding-left: 0px; display: inline; padding-right: 0px; border-top-width: 0px" border="0" alt="IMG_4087" src="https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-pHE-1UNXKVo/V3HqdI0TK1I/AAAAAAAARf0/LEB2yeVKCm4/IMG_4087_thumb%25255B1%25255D.jpg?imgmax=800" width="342" height="454"></a> <blockquote> <p>“Instead, you ought to say, "If the Lord wills, we will live and also do this or that."</p></blockquote> <p>So, <strong>while I’d planned</strong> on <em>getting it all done </em>, this summer and while I’d <em>made a LARGER-THAN- LIFE-TO –DO LIST…</em> I’m really, concentrating on what’s important. <p>Rekindled relationships. Family. <p>Restoration, both in the physical and the spiritual. <p>Realistic Expectations—living each day as it is given. <p>Resting in finding Truth and Loving my Lord-- <p>‘Til Next Time, Be blessed. <p><strong><em><font size="5" face="Segoe Script">Patricia</font></em></strong></p> <p><strong><em><font size="5" face="Segoe Script"> </font></em></strong><a href="https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-PX1F_jcErG4/V3HqdqPFzZI/AAAAAAAARf4/9p52inLkzCQ/s1600-h/IMG_5945%25255B4%25255D.jpg"><img title="IMG_5945" style="border-left-width: 0px; border-right-width: 0px; background-image: none; border-bottom-width: 0px; padding-top: 0px; padding-left: 0px; display: inline; padding-right: 0px; border-top-width: 0px" border="0" alt="IMG_5945" src="https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-xnWdGiE5dy8/V3HqeOS0FNI/AAAAAAAARgA/_OajghbUSpc/IMG_5945_thumb%25255B1%25255D.jpg?imgmax=800" width="454" height="454"></a> </p> <p><em>*not an ICAD – (water color,on 8.5 x 11 sketch paper; Three Rose buds in a Pot)</em></p> <p><em></em></p> <p>*quote taken from NASB: James 4:13-15</p>Patricia @ 9th and Denverhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/04786692442689958889noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9173649280963485189.post-41233763713080765562016-06-23T12:43:00.001-05:002016-06-23T12:43:12.564-05:00Fun with ICADs 2016<p> </p> <p>ICADs officially started June 1—it runs through July 31 for a total of 61 days… I thought I’d be posting here regularly…but so far ---nada! </p> <p>I’ll try not to post too many ICAD posts back to back… I do have a life, there is much to tell you and talk about so far this summer. I miss gardening and crafting and projects--- and I mentioned how I hoped to dabble in all of it over the summer break.</font></p> <blockquote> <p><font style="background-color: #809ec2" size="3"><font style="background-color: #cccccc">She said, “ I hope you plan your summer… don’t let it just come and go, then regret not having fun and doing what you want when fall arrives.</font><font style="background-color: #cccccc">” </font></font></p></blockquote> <p><font size="3">Well, … I have considered these words since I received that email reply… and I love her message back to me and appreciate her words so much! </font></p> <p><font size="3">I’ve given it thought and really, I think her words apply to all of life, NOT just the coming summer months. I think it’s so important these days to live INTENTIONALLY! Not wasting any time and remembering that even time spent resting, considering scripture and the LORD and his Word is time well spent! </font></p> <p><font size="3">At the moment—nothing is set in stone, except the first day of school, come Fall.</font></p> <p><font size="3"> <a href="https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-pY86Es2JW8I/Vzzy3Rw5T0I/AAAAAAAARVg/k3CcyG_KC-E/s1600-h/image%25255B12%25255D.png"><img title="image" style="border-top: 0px; border-right: 0px; background-image: none; border-bottom: 0px; padding-top: 0px; padding-left: 0px; border-left: 0px; display: inline; padding-right: 0px" border="0" alt="image" src="https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-lG6LkF4eJnQ/Vzzy4QuLUgI/AAAAAAAARVk/DIswE8Czlzo/image_thumb%25255B6%25255D.png?imgmax=800" width="454" height="306"></a></font></p> <p><strong><font size="3">Meaning: I have no plans.</font> </strong></p> <p><font size="3">I do have a few ideas though. </font><font size="3">On the top of the list: </font></p> <p><font size="3"><em>Reading.</em> Years ago, I read for leisure. Why did I stop doing that? I hardly picked up a book to read… ok, that’s not exactly true. I read many non-fiction type books. I enjoy reading analytical type stuff. <em>Seriously, I can stand in the canned good isle at the grocer and read ingredients list, become so absorbed in it and lose complete track of time! </em></font></p> <p><a href="https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-urN5YTNxIrI/Vzzy7c-DLJI/AAAAAAAARVo/ND20xqMZLT0/s1600-h/image%25255B8%25255D.png"><img title="image" style="border-top: 0px; border-right: 0px; background-image: none; border-bottom: 0px; padding-top: 0px; padding-left: 0px; border-left: 0px; display: inline; padding-right: 0px" border="0" alt="image" src="https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-tBOBAHscXps/Vzzy8pP4NlI/AAAAAAAARVs/JmNfHK17PJQ/image_thumb%25255B4%25255D.png?imgmax=800" width="396" height="454"></a></p> <p><font size="3">What I’m talking about is literature—fictional stories (and true!), the kind that move you to another place and another time; mostly, I’m talking about filling in some gaps with classical pieces of literature that slipped by me in my younger years and <em>I want</em> to read them. Some more current books I want to read that also were missed. </font></p> <p><font size="3"><em>Crafts:</em>I also have some crafting that I want to get done. Some crocheting and sewing. If time allows—I might work on my dollhouse. I have some projects to finish up there and it’s been on the back burner for a long time now. </font></p> <p><font size="3"><em>Household:</em> </font></p> <p><font size="3">Whoa! the list of ideas is never-ending there. First and foremost (once the rains let up) Painting the house. We started it a couple of years ago (hangs head) and really need to finish it. </font></p> <p><font size="3">Gardening is out, in the way of planting and cultivating. But there are some areas that need tending and cleaning. We’ll probably get to some of that. </font></p> <p><font size="3">Anyway, I’m taking Gail’s advice and planning the summer months…but not over planning. I hope to do just enough to be satisfied and rested when school starts! Thanks Gail! <img class="wlEmoticon wlEmoticon-winkingsmile" style="border-top-style: none; border-left-style: none; border-bottom-style: none; border-right-style: none" alt="Winking smile" src="https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-iled-Qc7VUA/Vzzy9D1xGXI/AAAAAAAARVw/iIuAECM3jlo/wlEmoticon-winkingsmile%25255B2%25255D.png?imgmax=800"> <strong>(*edited to say: Speaking of Gail… if you like listening to POD casts and you like repurposing and DIY tips then you’ll love listening to her on the new Pod Casts she is doing… DIY with MRL. <br />
<span style="font-size: small;">Real quick, I wanted to show you a framed print/ poster I bought over the weekend. It was in a really cheap frame with Plexiglas over it. I bought it because it was a copy of Van Gogh painting; Cafe Terrace at Night and I only paid five bucks for it.</span><br />
<br />
<a href="https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-yeQUv4wg3B0/Vwx0TezJIEI/AAAAAAAARQM/tp9-zil3BPU/s1600-h/image%25255B13%25255D.png"><img alt="image" border="0" height="370" src="https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-8ESJJrz0WhQ/Vwx0VE8aPaI/AAAAAAAARQQ/y1me4CwOzos/image_thumb%25255B7%25255D.png?imgmax=800" style="background-image: none; border-bottom: 0px; border-left: 0px; border-right: 0px; border-top: 0px; display: inline; padding-left: 0px; padding-right: 0px; padding-top: 0px;" title="image" width="346" /></a><br />
<br />
<span style="font-size: small;">Some of you probably wouldn’t have bought it. I know there are lots more things out there to spend money on; but, taking art this semester and knowing for years that I like his work; I thought it was a small price to pay. <em>Really, I’m in a ARTSY kind of mood, after visiting a museum on Saturday with The Honey. </em></span><br />
<span style="font-size: small;"><em><br /></em></span>
<span style="font-size: small;">I had a frame in mind when I got it home and measured it. I also already had a sample jar of Valspar (…we’ll call it Mid-night blue) from the Ooops! paint at shelf at Lowe’s. </span><br />
<a href="https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-C1bTZv9q6bI/Vwx0Ylw-X9I/AAAAAAAARQU/incVWxpPzso/s1600-h/image%25255B20%25255D.png"><img alt="image" border="0" height="420" src="https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-5BFTY4cbPUE/Vwx0Z7BbZXI/AAAAAAAARQY/t0FP0rPa76E/image_thumb%25255B14%25255D.png?imgmax=800" style="background-image: none; border-bottom: 0px; border-left: 0px; border-right: 0px; border-top: 0px; display: inline; padding-left: 0px; padding-right: 0px; padding-top: 0px;" title="image" width="338" /></a><br />
<br />
<span style="font-size: small;">I love how it turned out. For now, there isn’t a mat. The name of the museum where the original is housed and the name of the painting and Vincent Van Gogh’s name can be seen on the front. I sort of like that. I’ve left the cheap scruffy plexiglas over it to protect it until I get a glass replacement. </span><br />
<span style="font-size: small;"><br /></span>
<span style="font-size: small;">What do you think, should I place a mat around it covering the title and other information, or should I leave it and just get a new glass for it. I also don’t have a permanent spot for it yet. </span><br />
<span style="font-size: small;"><br /></span>
<span style="font-size: small;">I just bought it yesterday using the <a href="https://www.5milesapp.com/">5 mile app</a> on my ipad. I wanted to give that a try and see how I liked using it. The transaction went pretty smoothly… The Honey went with me to make the deal. It was close and pretty easy? Have you tried it? </span><br />
<span style="font-size: small;"><br /></span>
<span style="font-size: small;">If so what are you thoughts on 5 mile? </span><br />
<span style="font-size: small;"><br /></span>
<span style="font-size: small;">My thoughts at the moment are: </span><br />
<ol>
<li><span style="font-size: small;"> <em>Gee, this app is addictive. </em></span></li>
<li><span style="font-size: small;"><em>Don’t buy anything else until I <strong>sell</strong> something.</em></span></li>
<li><span style="font-size: small;"><em>Gotta check 5 mile and see if there’s anything, I can’t live without! (before it’s gone…sssshhh!) </em></span></li>
<li><span style="font-size: small;"><em>Don’t tell the Honey… Ooops! he’s addicted too!</em></span></li>
</ol>
<span style="font-size: small;">Anyway, this is my frame before I painted it ‘midnight blue’. It was green and covered in dusty doilies… they needed washing anyway. <img alt="Winking smile" class="wlEmoticon wlEmoticon-winkingsmile" src="https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-bZPpWkEXKUY/Vwx0aHfsm9I/AAAAAAAARQc/L3-6Y2UfnlQ/wlEmoticon-winkingsmile%25255B2%25255D.png?imgmax=800" style="border-bottom-style: none; border-left-style: none; border-right-style: none; border-top-style: none;" /></span><br />

<br />
<span style="font-size: small;">I know, this is about Baseball… BUT FIRST!!!! I don’t think I’ve posted it here, but on my Instagram account… I posted a picture of my little grand daughter playing soccer this season and my dad (her great grand-dad) is her coach! I’m thrilled about that! I went and saw her play last Saturday. </span><br />
<span style="font-size: small;"><br /></span>
<a href="https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-U3EfjkQr6EI/VwkjuGguWnI/AAAAAAAARPo/bDv-4jrHon8/s1600-h/image11.png"><img alt="image" border="0" height="355" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgjwCf6XWLo2KJvlGf3-rKsosGTXPC8pBe-ZK6I5yzbAMRGyLk-VXRu2WLOPheHP1o_WMVuYC3dALgKxvSKLWcZGvkigO5lM9HUY0tApJlh4RrVlEQt0-Bz2G1QZKpiJrdzbh0PfirKMCk/?imgmax=800" style="background-image: none; border-bottom-width: 0px; border-left-width: 0px; border-right-width: 0px; border-top-width: 0px; display: inline; padding-left: 0px; padding-right: 0px; padding-top: 0px;" title="image" width="354" /></a><br />
<span style="font-size: small;">It was loads of fun watching!</span> <br />
<span style="font-size: small;"><br /></span>
<span style="font-size: small;">This week however, is the opening week of baseball season. The Rangers have been up and down this week. I don’t get to watch (<em>although I’m considered ordering MLB.tv—let me know if you have it and like it</em>) We don’t have cable or dish… so if I bought it monthly and just use it during baseball season, it might be worth it, rather than a whole year) </span><br />
<span style="font-size: small;">I don’t have any pictures or favorite tips or thoughts on pro-ball – but! </span><br />
<span style="font-size: small;"><br /></span>
<span style="font-size: small;">I do have this … </span><br />
<span style="font-size: small;"><br /></span>
<span style="font-size: small;">Easton is playing T-ball this year! I didn’t get to see him play his first game this week – his games are on Tuesdays and Thursdays… guess when my classes are?! But tonight, Friday, he had a game. </span><br />
<span style="font-size: small;">You can bet I was there, sitting right at the backstop! </span><br />
<br />

<div align="left">

</blockquote>
<span style="font-size: small;">That’s Easton…. Go! Easton … RUUUUUUUUNNNNN!!!!!! </span><br />
<br />
<span style="font-size: small;">His first hit he got out at 1st. *edited to say, Easton was safe at first, but got out trying to steal second!</span><br />
<span style="font-size: small;"><br /></span>
<span style="font-size: small;">Second time up, he got a double… and finally made it in for a run. </span><br />
<br />

<span style="font-size: small;">That’s him coming across the plate! YEAH! EEEEEEEastON!!!!! </span><br />
<span style="font-size: small;"><br /></span>
<span style="font-size: small;">I’d say the crowd went wild… but really, Oma went wild enough for EVERYONE! </span><br />
<span style="font-size: small;"><br /></span>
<span style="font-size: small;">I love watching baseball… and this. THIS.</span> <br />
Well… <span style="font-size: x-large;">THIS…. </span><span style="font-size: small;">JUST MADE MY WEEK. </span><br />
