:: After the Rain-

After being cooped up with kids during the rainy season...or in your part of the country (or world) --The Long Winter, it is so good to get outside and stretch your legs, breath in fresh air and get some sunshine in your eyes, you know?

These are few of the pictures I took with the Littles last Friday while out walking the property.
They love to do this and they are very attentive to all that God has created!

This little yellow flower...was actually a TINY yellow flower. I should have put my finger in the picture so you could see how TINY it really was...but believe me, it was small.

Our only peach tree... it is about 3 1/2 ft. to 4 ft. tall...but full of leaves! I hope it makes it and grows really big! I don't think we'll be getting any peaches off of it this year... but hopefully in the next year or so.

We bought some companion peach trees at the nursery this weekend. More on that in a later post.

Bree saw this little lady bug all by herself. She was so excited. I was somewhat amazed too. We are out walking in the middle of 4 acres...and she is keen enough to spot this little Lady Bug... in a field of green!

Of course, she wanted to keep it. But we don't keep any of the creatures we find. They belong outside, where God intended,  in the wild. Besides... Easton gets spooked of crawly things!  Weston thinks all bugs need 'SQUOOSHING'!  (still trying to teach him ,that is not the case!)

I had to take a picture of this tree... I'm surprised it is still living.

This tree has been cracked like this since my kids were little...17 yrs ago when we moved here it was cracked. I'm not a tree surgeon... and I don't pretend to be one on this blog; but I'm fairly certain, something could have been done to keep this tree well, years ago. One day soon though, I'm sure it will no longer be standing at the back of our property.

Mooo-ving on, of course, we stopped to take pictures of the cows.

While I was playing with the settings on my camera; I found out it would do this...!!!

Holy Cow,
Who knew?!
My little point and shoot has a SEPIA setting!

So then I couldn't help myself...

I began taking all sorts of pictures with it.

But I won't bore you with them...
Just this last one, I took when we were walking homeward...back to the house.

The back of everything... the Bois D'arc tree, the garden and the chicken coop. In SEPIA! :)  up to this point any and all Sepia pictures you might have seen on this blog...were done with pic-monkey.

So , you remember the long list of things I have in my yard "TO-DO"?
Well, I've gotten a few things done and checked off the list. I hope to show you that soon.
The bricks? No.
Not done with the pathway yet...and the weather man is predicting Rain for the week again....so, nope don't know when that will be finished. But I will surely show it to you when I get it done.
In the mean time...
I get to work on some inside projects...Maybe?!

Therefore humble yourselves under the mighty hand of God that He may exalt you at the proper time, casting all your anxiety upon Him; because He cares for you. ~1 Peter 5:6-7

Good Morning to you, You have leaves on your peach tree, lucky you, our little peach tree does not even have any buds showing yet....the weather here in England has been so cold for the time of year. We are all walking around with scarves, hats, mittens and coats, each day hoping tomorrow will be warmer. On the positive, at least we can go for some lovely, bracing walks by the sea.
I love the sepia photos, I did not know a camera could do that, I shall have to play around with my little Canon camera.
Have a lovely day.
Best Wishes
Daphne

Your acreage is so green and lush looking, I am really yearning for some green right about now. I love your sepia photos, you know, if there had been an internet back when our grandmothers were our age, those are the photos they would have been posting on their blogs...funny to think of eh? I wonder what they would have called their blogs back then...my grandma's name was Pearl, perhaps "Pearl's Pearls of Wisdom". :) Have a lovely day with your littles.

It sure is nice to see some pictures with green grass and leaves on the trees! Slowly but surely we are getting there. We just purchased peach trees yesterday. Hopefully they will be big enough when our old tree dies out! I always love cow pics!

I love seeing your pictures....when I was teaching, I told my kiddos the same thing about God's creatures. They stay outside, and we NEVER squoosh them-ever! Hopefully some of them took that and will teach their children the same. ;)
I walked around the yard when I got home from my vacation, and I could see a lot of changes in just those few days!
good luck, have fun with the indoor projects.
