:: Ideas For Embellishing a Mirror::

Sometimes… I just get a little project stuck in my head.  I think about for a long time…sometimes weeks, sometimes months, or years ( like with my couch).  I’m always keeping my eye out for a little ‘something’  that will fit the bill.  When it finally comes to me…

I just do it!

This is an old picture taken in bedroom.  When I did my ‘yo-yo’ block craft.  This mirror was in the bathroom when we bought this house…over the sink.

I replaced it with a sturdier WOOD FRAMED MIRROR… years ago.  I had this one on another wall in the bathroom for years, but  finally moved it out when I found a medicine cabinet with a mirror.  I like having it in the bedroom. But have wanted to frame it some how.

I’ve thought of leather strap…like an old belt, jute wrapped foam wreath, Starburst and twigs…and many other ideas.

But the other day while looking around on Instagram—I saw this duct tape idea.

white duct tape wreath  (first seen on instagram)  -- Cute idea—but a little to Modern Country for me.

plastic spoon wreath  -- This one with the spoons … cute.

plastic spoon mirror – this one CUTE TOO!!!  ALL CUTE.

But, I just couldn’t see spending the money to buy spoons. Then cut them down, etc.  Plus—the style just doesn’t say—Eclectic Farm Cottage (…yes, I just made that decorating category up!…feel free to use it)   {{smile}}

Then I remembered this sweet little thing.  I pinned it a long time ago… I have looked and couldn’t find a pattern anywhere… so I’m going to wing it.  It has all the charm I’m looking for.  It is definitely different.  AND!  the crochet aspect is so me!

I like the green--- and now, am thinking, wow… I should have used green. But No.  I’m using white.

I’ll let you know how it turns out.

Is there some little project you just can’t quit thinking about and can’t wait for it to be finished?!

I have lots of those.  This mirror is just ONE!

Shout joyfully to the LORD all the earth. Serve the LORD with gladness; Come before Him with Joyful singing. “

I sort of do that with some projects....most recently it was the ammo box. I had it for years before I figured out what I wanted to do with it. :)
all great mirrors... love the spoon mirrors, but seems to tedious for me! I've never done crochet, so that would have never occurred to me, but I think it will look great around your mirror!
have a super weekend Patricia! I'm hoping to get some painting done today if the weather permits....

I am not that talented but this is really pretty! I've never seen anything like it and so perfect for vintage photos or paintings.

I mean the crochet frame, the spoons are really interesting too and you could really liven it up for kids.
