Busy as a BACKWARD BEE!

Ok...I'll let you in on a little secret about myself. I'm a procrastinator. BIG TIME!
In the worst way. Some time back, ...like say the first week in March, Amy at New Nostalgia started something called 'ANTI- Procrastination Tuesday'

only... for me it has been more like 'PROCRASTINATION Tuesdays" -Seriously folks, it's like I need an intervention or something. But, I joined in- WITH good intentions I might add.  I made a cute little list of all the things I'd like to get done over a few short weeks. I posted about it here.

WELL-  it has been buggin the FIRE out of me, that I haven't gone back to it. So tonight I did just that. I went back and read my list. And low and behold... I've been busier than I thought! So, I'm REVISING my list. Well, I'm marking some things off...

I used to read Laine's Letters...still do every so often.

Although I don't find many women around nowadays that know who she is...great mentor and God fearing woman; anyway... she had days where she didn't feel very productive but just knew she had been busy doing something! So she would sit down and make a list of all that she HAD gotten done on THAT day, and she called it her 'BUSY AS A BACKWARD BEE LIST'

That is more or less what this is for me.  I'm just going down my list to see what I have gotten accomplished.
  • IMMEDIATE GOALS

  • Continue to DeClutter spare bedrooms. This is an ongoing thing.
  • Fill Good will Box as much as possible    Again... plenty to give away.

  • Long Term Goals

  • Paint Living Room
  • Paint Front Bedroom
  • Paint 'Franken-shelves'
  • Get Momma's antique cast-iron Wash-tub mounted and planted with flowers- for fun!
...every once in a while doesn't it just feel good to mark things off your list?

That's it for now- hope everybody had a great weekend.  I did.  I also got to visit and see a lot of new blogs courtesy of Donna's SNS this week.  I saw so much, and I wore my TUMBLR BUTTON OUT!
I have sensory overload.  I've got plenty to keep me busy this week. Don't know if I'll get to all of it...you know, I'm a BIG TIME PROCRASTINATOR!  HA!

~~~Come now, you who say, "Today or tomorrow we will go to such and such a city, and spend a year there and engage in business and make a profit."
 Yet you do not know what your life will be like tomorrow. You are just a vapor that appears for a little while and then vanishes away.
 Instead, you ought to say, "If the Lord wills, we will live and also do this or that." ~~~
James 4:13-15
God Bless You
and
Thanks for Reading.
You have been a busy girl! I think we get overwhelmed when we see how much we have to accomplish that we forget the progress we've made. I don't do lists... they intimidate me!
Ha, I know how you feel. Sometimes my hubby will come home from work and ask what I have done today.....I will have been busy all day but , man, it is hard to remember what I have been doing. I so live in the moment and my thoughts are always busy it is weird---I get so busy thinking and praying while I am doing stuff--it is like I am in 2 worlds!
Good for you for getting your list out there and having so much crossed off on it! Good luck on all of that yard work.
See you!
Pat,
I believe the list to be therapeutic. It is for me. Big time. I don't write it down or type it out, but I say it out loud at the end of the day. I try to forgive myself for not producing when I say I will. That's the hardest part for this worker bee!!!
Thanks for this reminder!!!
