When you are working around your place whether gardening-
painting, building, decorating; what do you use as a gauge?
A measuring stick?
We are all much like little birds doing our best to build our homes and make them 'right'...whatever right may be.
Even if it's 'not 30 inches off the ground'
Do we take what we are given and use it to the best of our abilities?
(free lumber)
Do we make do and use wisely items of necessity?
(veggies garden- with free lumber and dirt! )
Do we toss and throw away frivolously with out care?I must admit- I do get caught up in the game. The next big ticket item, new way to use old things, new trends in decor -the HAVES AND THE HAVE NOTS.
(ie: wild-life as ART!)
($1 -flea-frame)
But when it boils right down to it-- I try to take what I've been given and cherish it and be a good steward of it as though it were a prized possession being put into my care. I try to make it the very best it can be.Ah, much better!
(free frame GIFTED to me!)
And whatsoever ye do in word or deed, [do] all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God and the Father by him. Colossians 3:17
When people come to my home I hope they can see that I'm proud and blessed by God~ to have my little home in the country -- it is a cherished gift and I love
to share it with my guests.
I've been trying to get this posted a couple of days now~~
already this morning I've seen several others have published similar posts. Brenda
at Cozy Little House posted ~What does your home say about you~ here.
She inspired me to get this posted.
If you haven't read it go there-- her home is gorgeous and Cozy just like her blog title implies; and she is a gracious hostess too.
Have a great day~
God Bless you
and
Thanks for reading!

I love this post. We live in such a throw away world. "I remind myself often to "keep it simple, make use of what you have". ~Amber
what did I think when I saw the ruler? I thought how high is my grass? Ha but I liked it when I saw you found a nest.
