Hen House Hop-

My favorite out door project for 2011- Linking to FJI- *Best of 2011* SNS- click on her button to go there. Enjoy the video...

I think we were supposed to write a story-- but if a picture is worth a thousand words (and you know how I ramble) then a video is surely worth a few minutes!

Does it count that I CAPTIONED every single picture?  ...And of course these are ALL  memorable moments, since we've only been doing this a short while.

Most of all I will say-- our chickens have been very THERAPEUTIC. The Husband (aka. Honey) had a heart attack, followed by open heart surgery (and a stroke)  in May before we were able to finish our coop or ever have eggs!  Since being home, this has been an ongoing, BE IT slow, project.  From painting, to building the run, to helping 'delight' our chickens with hand-caught grasshoppers as we stroll the property for his prescribed exercise in the morning and afternoon.

When you're finished be sure and Hop over and check out all the other entries to the 1st Annual Hen House Hop~~~

I hope you Enjoy the video! (my first smile box video by the way)

I just watched your video. Love your chicken coop project, and, of course, the chickens. Funny, I've never thought of keeping chickens as a therapeutic
activity. But I hope it's helped mend your husband's health.

I definitely think that chickens are therapeutic. We have two sons with special needs who are very active in our chickens care and the results have been wonderful and heart warming! Loved the video; stopping by from the Hen House hop. blessings to you and your family!

Stopping by from the Hen House Hop! I just found it and have been enjoying seeing and reading about everyone's flocks! (I'll have to pull together a post to enter!)

I think the girls are therapeutic too! The kids spend HOURS and HOURS outside now, watching the chickens free range and holding them. (We have some that like to swing with my youngest...LOW swinging...puts them to sleep! LOL) And even my husband gets out there and he's not an outside kinda guy! They just started laying so the kids are super excited!
