:: Enough Already! ::

I’m not good at writing eulogies… and besides that, how many is too many?  I never like writing these kinds of things.
This year, in February, we lost Gracie—one of our favored drop-off dogs.

After that… Trouble took it really hard. I seriously, think she was sad and missed her sister.

Trouble on her pillow

She took to laying around on her bed and sleeping a lot.

Then we got Buster…

and young and spritely pup!

They took to each other pretty well.

He was lying beside her on the porch today Monday (Nov. 18th)  …when she passed.  It was a tender moment. But not one captured on film.

She will be missed. She was a funny, nuisance of a dog.  She lived up to her name “Trouble” …

She is buried under the crepe myrtle tree.

Two family pets in the same year.

I’d like to think She and Gracie are running the fields together again.

Trouble and Gracie- sisters 2010

Two sisters--chasing rabbits...or squirrels...or swimming the stock ponds together.

I hate these posts, they just break my heart. You lost a member of your family and I am so sorry! I wish pets were made to live as long as people. I'm guessing there is a little "Trouble" going on in heaven

Oh- I am so so sorry! Pets are so much more to a family than just an animal around the place...they become part of your family unit and grab hold of your heart. You love then in spite of all the TROUBLE they can get into. God bless your family as you mourn your sweet Trouble who has passed over the Rainbow Bridge- xo Diana

I am so sorry to read that you lost your Trouble on Monday. The only complaint I will every have about dogs is that they don't live as long as we do. A great dog fills our hearts and leaves a giant hole it in when they are gone but we are usually much better people for having known them.

Oh this is so sad. So many of us have lost a beloved pet lately and here you have lost two. This has to be so hard for you. I'm still struggling after just over a week and thinking about making a scrap book on one of those photo sites to preserve the memories, if not just photos in an album. I'm glad yours had such a great family. Sending Prayers.

Sorry to hear about this. Pets get into your heart and leave their paw prints all over it! They make our world a better place. I like to think that my pets have a place to romp together too! We have to remember that a perfect and loving Father has a perfect plan for everything. He created them and He obviously cares for them. After all He knows when a sparrow falls from the sky!

ps I had a "trouble" when I first got married....jamie's dad wasn't thrilled about having a dog, and she definitely lived up to her name too.

I can't even begin to imagine how hard it is to lose two beloved family members in one year, Pat. My thoughts are with you and your family. I know, just as sure as I'm sitting here, that those dogs are with you in spirit, my friend.

I am so sorry Pat. It is always so hard to lose one of our furry family members. Losing two in one year is tough. I'm sure they ARE running the fields in doggie heaven. Ann

Oh, I am so sorry! It can hurt so bad and to lose two in one year! :( it's almost been a year since I lost my Lucy. My heart still aches for her. So glad I have two of her half brothers ( even if they did break my knee!)

We had to (well me) put our kitty of 12 years to sleep also on Monday. She was so sick. She was born ferile and pretty much stayed that way except for me and my husband. I don't know why this has to hurt so much. I know how you are feeling. She won't be replaced. We have two dogs. If one of those dogs , heaven forbid, pass we would probably get another. How is Buster doing. Our dogs saw me leave with our cat and seem afraid to go near the door. They look around for the kitty. Yesterday our Springer found one of my socks and took it into the bathroom and laid in by the floorboard heater in the bathroom that was the kitty's. I think there was probably some meaning to that. (((((HUGS))))) to you and your family.
