Bird Seed Storage-- Copied

I know we all get wonderful ideas from each other…and then copy them with a twist to make it our own. That is what I’ve done here. I can’t take the credit for this one—although, I did have a need to begin with and went in search for something that inspired.
Just the other day I was thinking I needed something to put bird seed in, so I could keep it handy on the porch for the bird feeders; but also keep it free from vermin.
I came across the LOVELY

I KNEW IMMEDIATELY  what I could do.
jug close up-before I had this big jug. I didn’t really have plans for it and it was questionable whether or not I was going to keep it …until I saw Laurie Anna’s ‘wicker pickle jug’.

I got busy tying some string onto it…kind of like a Demi John 100_0990… ONLY IT ISN’T !!!!
100_1168You can barely see the jute string I’ve tied onto it…but you can see the foam core board—and the white paint.  No. It’s not a chalk board. It’s an actual painted sign. 100_1170Complete with jute string and buttons… and tied on with a piece of scrap lace--- I think it turned out cute.
Thanks Laurie Anna,  you’ve got some beautiful ideas that leave a girl feeling INSPIRED!

It’s my new addition of spring time to my porch! 100_1159

Thats a cool idea to store even kitchen stiff like sugar or flour! We store our seed in one of those old double bowled utility sinks on wheels!

That is really cute. I just bought a tall glass jug at Goodwill the other day that will work perfectly. It won't be as cute as yours but I'll give it a try.

I love it when you find a cute idea and already have the stuff for it. It is darling and the little chalkboard just makes it perfect.

That is such a cute storage jar, Pat. Got me to thinking about the birds. I must get my humming bird feeder up soon!
