:: Catching Up, Cleaning Up and Coming Up ::

Do you ever feel like you’ve lost your blogging MOJO?   or maybe you’ve lost your groove?
Christmas at my daughters house.
Before the holidays… tons of posts, a blogging rhythm…regular blog parties each week and of course my new mid-week feature FRUGAL FODDER.
Which is…  what it is…raw material usually regarding our attempts at saving MORE and spending LESS!
Since the holidays… I’ve sat down to type and guess what?  Too wordy!
Every post is so lengthy--- it bores me to even write it! How could I possibly expect you, my highly favored readers to get through it? Seriously?
On occasion, I suppose a wordy post from me is necessary as I feel I MUST EXPLAIN MYSELF…but for the most part?  Who has time, really? The next thing you know…I'm behind in all that has gone on in our life and then I feel like I must get it all out!!!

So in a nutshell--
Here’s what I’ve been up to this year--

January 1- HUGE ANNUAL family get together…
we ate food, caught up with each other, laughed, ate,
…Oh! and played a mean game of PICTIONARY!
it’s brutal.
AND I announced on camera—to everyone… that my Motto for the year is
“Get Clean in 2013! “  (it popped IN MY HEAD…AND OUT MY MOUTH)

It’s on video so now I have an obligation!!!

January 5-  The Honey hung my Texas (bead board) flag on the North Side of the house….
100_7709It’s not a BARN QUILT…but I like it…and I think it looks pretty good up there.
I’ll get another picture of it when the weather is better!
In the mean time…
it’s no longer stashed in the Utility Room, remember getting clean!

January 7—The Honey got new dentures…
 100_7735Cute dental tech…
She’s our daughter!  We’re so proud of her.
Has nothing to do with my new MOTTO…

January 11—The youngest daughter started classes for Nursing School.  YIPPEE! We’re so proud of her too!
She’ll be going MONDAY thru FRIDAY… for the next 2 years!!!!

But, That means …
THE JUSTICE LEAGUE will be at my house everyday…

Which means- all of my
“Get Clean in 2013” DAYS will be relegated to SATURDAYS and SUNDAYS.

So, if you were to look at my new 2013 calendar—which I got for free at the feed store,ON MY ONE OUTING THIS WEEK—you’d see all my Saturdays Highlighted and Scheduled ‘OFF’
…for say oh, I dunno---
the next 50 weeks or so
…give or take a week.

The ‘UP-side’?  I should have plenty to blog about this year. Not all budgets!!!

The JUSTICE LEAGUE looks so cute looking through the gate, just wondering what's on the other side. lol Think of all the memories you can make with those little ones in the next two years. I can't wait to hear of the adventures you have with them.

love that Texas flag! I am a Texan, born and raised there but I live in OK now. I so enjoy when we drive into Texas and see the Texas stars and Texas flags on so many homes.
taking care of 4 grands every day will really keep you on your toes! It is fun but lots of work too. But they will be grown up so fast. Have fun!

Wow, four grandkids, you are going to be so busy you won't be having any problems finding things to blog about, but the time to blog. Oh what fun you will have! My daughter is in nursing school now, too. It sounds like you are going to have a very busy 2013!

They are looking for cows! There were none that day. :( But we talked about things we did see...the naked trees, the water and the cacti !!!
Easton knows too well about cactus--he fell in some back in the fall, and we had to to use a lint roller to get it all off him!!! It was awful.
Nice to hear from you Granny--

You are a very lucky grandma, I would give my eye teeth to be a part of my grandkids lives like you are. They will grow up with such great memories of grandma and grandma's house. That's more important than having a perfectly clean house, right?
Love and hugs, Cindy

Lucus & Leigha miss seeing Texas flags. They comment every time they are down. The Indiana flag doesn't have the same graphic appeal that the Texas flag does.

AND I love your Justice League! Mine are far away. :(
