::Cheap and Easy...

Just the way I like my craft projects!

I'm working on getting a new "office-desk area" for myself. I want it to be fun and creative...not just functional.
But ...let's face...it does need to be a bit more functional too!

Last week ,while out thrifting, I came across two ORANGE file boxes.
The orange caught my eye; but not in a 'hey, I'm cute and orange buy me", kind of way.
No.
More like a warning: "safety  orange ,don't shoot!!",  kind of way.

Anyway-- I don't want to spend a lot of money on it either; so...
they were cheap and I bought them.

Brought them home and ...

Now look at them, aren't they cute?

I just used some Ooops! Paint that I had bought previously and this small sample jar, that I bought Saturday, was also Ooops! paint...only $1 at Lowes.

Painted it on, picked a pattern and went with it!
Free style all the way. :)

Pretty simple and VERY cheap.

I'm linking this up to

Therefore do not walk as unwise men, but as wise, making the most of your time, for the days are evil. ~Ephesians 5:15-16~

I wish I had room for stuff like that on my desk. Great way to hold magazines, files, etc.

Pat, your ideas are always an inspiration! I have never conidered "oops" paint for anything other than walls or furniture. You have opened up some "doors" in my thinking.

Great job! I bought some old magazine files like that at a library sale years ago and painted them. Of course now that industrial look is in-- shoulda left them alone!!

Love it Pat! Although I thought for sure you would stick with the orange. But I like what you did better. Ann
