:: Peanut's Room and What Oma Made::

When my daughter began looking for ideas for the baby's nursery--
she told me she wanted a grey and yellow color scheme and she wanted elephants.
Well... I knew with grey and yellow you couldn't go wrong.

Then she asked me one day...
"Mom, do you think you could make me a rug for the baby's room?"

Hmmm... well, I can try!

I searched and searched for a pattern and then I found this tutorial on youtube

Only it was quite small... I'd need to modify it.  So, that's what I did!

I found plenty of ideas on pinterest for ::Peanut's:: room

I crocheted it with cotton sheets and grey worsted weight crochet thread...then outlined it with yellow and added tassel for the tail.

TA-DAH!

I tried getting a photo of the whole room...but you get the idea.

Elephants.

My daughter says it's her favorite thing in the room right now.
Me?  I'm pleased at the stack of diapers she was gifted...
It was almost as tall as her ...and almost as wide. ;)
(you can see the diapers better in the first photo)
Lots and lots of diapers... she is pretty happy about that too.

It won't be long now...and I'm really looking forward to meeting my newest grand baby.
