At this point in time, it has been my favorite and most rewarding project EVER.
My number one reason for liking it; small price big results. Secondly... it is just so easy to take care of, no kidding.
My only complaint- It's slippery when wet. It is probably the case with just about any floor you put down...so I don't complain about it much. That's the reason I keep a rug down all the time.
I get lots of comments left on that post...now days most of them are SPAM and I don't publish spam. But sometimes, I have people come to my blog and they just email me with questions regarding this floor. After checking and double checking for spam... I am usually pretty happy to reply back to genuine inquiries.
That is how I met Diana @ DIY adventures with Diana! (very new blog) She's emailed me a couple of times....and said she wanted to give this technique a try; and that when she did she'd email me the results!
Oh my word! You have to see her floor. She did her living room and her hall way right over the top of cement. I think she did such a great job. I'm almost embarrassed to show you... she had way more ambition that I did!

Here is the deal. Was decoupaging my bathroom floor my very own idea?
No. I actually first saw it here @ An Oregon Cottage where Jami posted a great video tutorial detailing her technique and then later she wrote this post with FAQ's .
Did Jami cut her paper in strips?
No...but the thing is, we see something and we get inspired to put our own stamp on it and make it our own. Doesn't mean my project was better than Jami's or Diana's was better than mine... it just means we are unique individuals with equally unique ideas.
We're all here blogging about them and willing to share those ideas with others...just for the fun of it!
Making our home the best it can be for our families.
That is why I get inspired by all of you... to make my home the very best it can be for my family.
If it then inspires someone else...even better, then it is really worth while. :)

Beautiful floors. I haven't seen your original post yet, but we recently did floors in our dining room and I LOVE them. I planned to do a post later this week, if I can get around to it. They are not of paper strips, but the floors look very similar to the ones pictured above. Actually, like old farmhouse wide-plank floors. Thanks for sharing. I never cease to be amazed at all the creativity out there!

Very cool to inspire others and find inspiration. Where would the world be without it??
The wonderful part of blogging is the inspiration and then the personalization. How gratifying to have people "copy" your ideas.

Both of you did a great job. I've never heard of a paper floor before. It looks just like hardwood.
It is a wonderful thing if we can actually inspire others, isn't it. Your bathroom floor is such a great idea, I'm surprised more people aren't doing it. Maybe they are and we just aren't seeing it. Diane's floor is gorgeous, I must go over and see it.

I'll tell what, that is just too awesome, both projects! Wish I had seen this BEFORE we bought the flooring for my master bath {although I do love what we bought} That said, Hubby is wanting to pull up the carpet in the "Man Cave" den so I'm PINNING both your floor and hers.
