:: New Happenings- and a SMART phone ::

I got an upgrade! I never thought I’d say it. But, I did. I got a new phone.
I looked for ‘just a phone’ and you know what the iphone 4 was free …and I took it. There are just no ‘phones’ out there to be had. I figure we’re going to have a contract. We just are.
I also have some other changes coming on the horizon and an updated phone will be good for that, as well. I HOPE.   So the choice was easy (you know how hard it is for me to make decisions) but there it is …I have a SMART phone.

So far… I think it is smarter than me. Two of my grown kids have them…and well, my daughter (she has been my tech support) finally said, “Mom, put it in the box and send it back.”
Ha! what a card, that girl is…
I told her, she just needs to have that baby already! She is non-compliant. :/

In other news…
It rained. When you're in a drought ridden region of the country...RAIN, is big news. We got about 6 inches of it, Friday…while waiting impatiently for FED X …to bring my phone.
ALL DAY. I'm talking put on your galoshes-grab-your-unbrella- rain.

Saturday morning was a bit unusual. I had the boys for my daughter. She had an unexpected day of school and her hubby worked.  The morning drizzle finally quit and the boys were eager to go out! They put their boots on and we went out for our ‘after the rain’ inspection.

The guineas joined us. If you listened to the background noise in my most recent DIY Upholstery post… you will hear them honking.  They do that a lot!

I sat on the front porch swing, drinking coffee and watching all the activity in the yard, the boys, the guineas…the shadows dancing around the yard…

Snapping pictures on my new phone. Something new to learn.
No more ‘tech support’ from the daughter.  Since her advice was to ship it back.  I’m on my own. :)

Laughed because my daughter is my tech support too! She would tell me the same thing! Yes, rain is a BIG deall when you are in a drought! It feels so good to get a good rain, it is like the earth got a good bath!

I'm not sure I'd know what to do with those fancy phones!

Don't look at me either. I have an older cell phone in my car for an emergency, and that's it-- barely know how to turn it on.

You'll love it. Don and I both have the iPhone 4. Don ended up getting his for free, too. It's so handy and I'm not one who lives and breathes by my phone, but I love it nonetheless.

Oh my, your daughter is so funny! Good for you to have a smart phone. I was lucky, I was given an iPod for my 50th birthday by my step-daughters. Then when I got the iPhone, well I knew how to use it because it's the same operating system. (I think that is the correct term, maybe not. I don't know for sure! :< Anyway, I knew how to use it already and that was really nice. I'm as dumb as they come when it comes to technology. My hubby is my techy support, he has listened to a lot of whining and seen a lot of tears! Haha!!!

hahaha funny! Jamie is my "go to girl" too. I haven't gone to the iPhone yet. I think I should, because I'm very frustrated with my cell service--or lack of I should say. I can barely talk on my phone at my own house. :(

I don't have a tablet yet either... one day soon maybe. :)
