I've spent the last couple of days making some changes on my blog...
I have no idea what I am doing.
I know nothing about HTML...
I have a great and new found respect for the Geeky bloggers (you know who you are) that can just whip out these little tweaks in nothing flat.
Y'all Rock!~
I learned how to change my tabs...
color
font
spacing
YAY! I like it.
I also added another tab/PAGE up top
Special Series
Along with some links to series I've done and am currently in the process of doing.
there are some great tutorials out there. Every single one of them were the same almost... and didn't work for me.
I finally figured it out... and THEN! I found a blog giving a tutorial on doing it the same as I did.
I"ll show you some of that with links in the near future.
I am sorry... I CAN NOT FIND THE BLOG that I downloaded these buttons from...somewhere, I lost my link. I'm so sorry, because I wanted to give her credit.
I loved the color of these buttons (Ocean) and she was the first one I came across that had an Etsy button. If these are your buttons please drop me a line and I will credit you.
In the mean time I am looking for you again....
Then I created these * I don't know what they are called* ...
Subtitles(?) for my sidebar???
I used PicMonkey to make them and I used cropped pictures of my vintage doilies to make them.
The font isn't uniform on them...
But for FIRST TIME TABS...
I thought they turned out pretty cute.
Oh...
and I used the heck out of my Snipping Tool
I have Windows 7- Ultimate and I love this little gadget!!!
Oh and I found some great links for some of these tutorials and you can see them here
I'm not finished tweaking by any means.
I still want to clean up the side bar... that means paring down and getting rid of some things.
I have some pages at the top that need tweaking... and maybe some fresh material.
Also... I lost my BUTTON... you know my Orange Enamel Coffee Pot... button. So if you have it... I don't know if it will still work or not. I lost the HTML code and drop down window. If you have that button and it doesn't work... feel free to DELETE!
I'm so NOT USED to this type of blogging.
But it was sort of fun...just dinking around with all of it, despite some of the issues I had at first.
So, that is what I've been up to. If you see anything out of whack or a broken link... please let me know, would you?
For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves. It is the gift of God. ~ Ephesians 2:8

You did a great job! I love your blog header. Hope you have a wonderful weekend, Gail
Pat good for you!! You did a good job. And yes the snipping tool is awesome. It hurts ones brains to work in html doesn't it?
hey, good job, you know I have no patience for that...I have a cool God story to share with you one day...about quitting my day job and being a stay at home and full time Elsie Mae on Market gal...hope to catch up soon, since the last time I saw you at the burger joint.

I think you did a great job. The only way to do it is jump right in and you did! Ann
Good for you Pat. I really need to change up my blog and add some buttons. Just get lost when I get into all that and if it does not work, I get disgusted and leave it.
Maybe sometime. Thanks for the inspiration.
