:: Update on SCRAPING::

Back in August—I wrote a post telling you about my blog being SCRAPED…my initial reaction in that was post—was a little cheeky.

1 Supreme on her head

Then I realized the seriousness of the SCRAPING Business…
and how bad it hurts  …we discussed PLAGIARISM.  It looked grim.  I was angry.

The next time I posted about it—I told you some of the things I learned about SCRAPING and what I was doing to COMBAT it.

* let’s not forget to watermark our pictures… friends!

I wrote a post telling you all about the forms to fill out and about the Digital Millennium Copyright ACT (DMCA)
how they wrote me and told me to provide more specific information…
Well, I ended that post with how I still had more work to do…blah, blah, blah.

I’d like to say—I jumped through hoops and got it all done. You already know that didn’t happen…;)

I did try and get the information they were wanting.  I could only get some of it.  It’s not easy to copy information off a nefarious website… they have tons of pop-ups and deterrents.  They are BIG FAT SNEAKS…(sorry if that offends sneaky people) but it is what it is, folks.  Getting all the information proved almost impossible.  While I did collect some of the data—I never got around to actually filing it again.

But, I’m happy to report—the so called “blog” and it’s content (MY CONTENT) has been closed!!! Yay!!!   It is not available to be opened currently. I’m watching it… so that when it comes available—I’m hoping to snatch it up! (it is very close to the name of my blog---only slight difference).  I would like to think that the Google Police Nabbed them and got their man…like Dudley Do-Right of the RCMP always gets his man. ;)

But really what I’m afraid happened was …that the guilty party (parties) have moved on to graze on greener pasture and are not bothering with my world renowned and most famous blog; because they came to find my super exciting life here in the country—trite and mundane and that they found the riveting, headline and attention grabbing lifestyle that I lead --just too much to keep up with.

Either way—GOOD RIDDENCE!

Til next time, Be Blessed!

“…blessed be the name of the LORD.”  Job 1: 21

That is crazy that people do stuff like that. I had my anonymous settings on and would get some vile comments from people. I thought Really .. We are just people blogging about things we love etc. I just don't understand what people like that gain from the things they do . I am glad that you are on top of it and watching it all. I love your blog and hope you never stop writing. HUGS and blessings your way

Hey, more exciting than my life! Perhaps they are now pirating my scintillating blog posts. Glad they are gone, but I agree with you, they are out there doing something bad somewhere else.

I really like your pictures in this post!!! I really want to know what their blog name was that it was close to your name - Carrots in my Coffee Pot?

I am so sorry to hear that such a thing has happened to you, and hopefully it won't happen to you again. I don't watermark my pictures, I just can't be bothered, but maybe I'm making a big mistake there, eh?
I love todays photos, too!

My oh my! what a mess! I too, have tried to get some stuff done about scraping. Only my pictures with no link back to me. I reported the pictures to the google police, and they wrote me and said they couldn't find the pics. huh what? I told them exactly where they were located on the page, and even gave them MY link so they could easily find MY pictures. I resubmited, but haven't heard back from them.

Happy you got some satisfaction, and hope it's not temporary.

glad you had a nice Thanksgiving with family! Only once in 37 years have we gone somewhere else for celebrating. It was disastrous. The family that we shared dinner with was a family of 5 and it's as though they didn't know we were coming. The hostess dished up our plates. I left hungry and disappointed that we didn't have any leftovers. I promptly went to the store and we had our own t'giving on Saturday that year. NEVER again! :) There's no place like home for Thanksgiving. heheheeh

It is sad and infuriating that we have to go to these extremes to protect our work! I do watermark my pictures. It is disgusting that we have to go to these measures to protect our work. So sorry that you had to go throught this!

Good riddance is right!! It is very angering that people can be so dishonest and I'm glad they got their just desserts. But, as you said, you had to go to great lenghs to see it done.....
Hang in there. Maybe now people will know not to mess with you and your blog!
