:: That THRIFTY FAIL-Something for the Doll House? ::

I recently did a post on some of my recent thrift shopping finds.
I left one particular item off the list; but, I wanted to show it to you.
thrifted bathroom wreath
It’s a VERY OUTDATED wreath.
It’s that “item-I – thought- would-be-perfect-but-it-wasn’t”
I bought it for it’s bathroom fixtures.
Oh the bathroom fixtures were so dainty! And they had detail!
In my mind, my doll house was way smaller than I remembered.
I don’t know what happened.
I think it is because I haven’t worked on it in a while.  I’ve just not had the time.  Plus, I promised myself…
I’d only work on it as a reward to myself—for getting other things done around my REAL HOUSE!
I’ve decided I’m being too hard on myself.  So I’m planning to work on it some this weekend.
I’ve got plans for the bedroom and bathroom ceiling.  I’m going to play around with it and see what happens.
Of course I’ll take pictures and show you how it’s coming along. In the mean time…
I thought I’d show this one just for laughs…
SCALE-tiny bath Collage
You can see I still haven’t  quite gotten a handle on SCALE  where it comes to miniatures.  But IT IS FUNNY!

Haha, too funny! But I would have made the same mistake, seriously. At least you got a good chuckle out of it. :)

That's pretty cute! You can made a shadow box out of those tiny fixtures. Dollhouse scale is 1 inch to 1 foot. If something in real life is three feet tall, then for your dollhouse, it should be three inches. Pretty easy to remember. Have fun! I haven't worked on mine it quite awhile either.

hahaha I'd be bad at scale too! :)

That's so funny. Like a miniature of a miniature! And that wreath is really ugly. I think it was ugly even when it was not dated!

Scale is hard - even for real life sometimes! You can craft a better wreath with your fabric and found items - maybe a washer or something? Still, what fun! Thanks so much for sharing at Revisionary Life Thrifty Life Thursday!
