First, I want to say how blessed I am to have so many of you comment and give me encouragement. That is truly one of the reasons I like blogging so much—the friends you can make along the way! You all have been wonderful.
I also like that fact that we have such a great relationship here-- I can say, I’m not alone. I think we probably all know someone with Diabetes.(or some other life altering disease) I can also comfortably say to all of you—I’m not looking for sympathy. The other great thing about our blogging relationship… YOU HAVE NOT GIVEN SYMPATHY; and THAT is appreciated. I get genuine heart felt comments from all my readers – and I am glad to have the accountability. So Thank you!
(found this picture on Instagram--it happens to be my favorite all time verse! Not this version; but Tomato /Tuh-Mah-ta)
Right now the rain has been on again off again… about 1/2 of the last month! THAT MEANS MOSQUITOES! Hords and Hords of Mosquitoes! So… today, I ran to the chicken coop, let the chickens out and RAN BACK TO THE HOUSE AS FAST AS I COULD! (while breathing through my nose!… I heard mosquitoes are drawn to “mouth breathers” ) I out ran most of them. Let’s not forget the upper body work out I got while trying to swat most of them off me, either. That counts right?
I ran out to the garden and turned on the soaker hose—which was a total waste. Because, THE BOTTOM FELL OUT in the afternoon; and it poured rain off and on for about an hour. I was so glad I got the garden watered before the rain came!
Some suggested walking, I will tell you—as soon as it gets HOT enough …because, well, right now we’ve only hovered around 91° - 93° with rain and humidity! But as soon as it DOES GET HOT —and dries up all the puddles (The Lord knows I’ve dumped out every bit of standing water I can) … I will go for a walk down our country lane. I will walk and get my heart rate up. I will walk, walk, walk.
Or… I’ll wait until December. When the weather is just perfect for walking Mosquito-Free!
The other bit of exercise I’ve been getting is swimming. Yes! we have an
So—that’s it for now on the exercise portion of “my life now”. I will be using a tread mill in the near future. I DON’T DO GYMS. But, a tread mill will be making it’s way here and I’ll figure out how to ride that thing!
You all know I’m not a sedentary person. Deliberate exercise, not so much. But that’s all changing.
Me, RUNNING… that’s a good one! I just laugh thinking about that!
Til next time, Be Blessed!

Diabetics is now common for many people. I am in that category. We need to have some restriction in food we take. They tell morning walk is very much good for this. Nice to hear that swimming is also good. Need to maintain the wait!
Nothing to worry. All will get well soon!
You might want to check out a walking exercise dvd at your library. I am going to try it and my adage is it can't hurt to try it. I bought one for $3.00 and just have to get the dvd hooked up.
Swimming is wonderful exercise. You are lucky to have a pool. I do walk every day I can, and Hubby too. He actually rides a bike at work too, to get from tower to tower, for repairs.
Good for you!! These things add up to a good workout. Our grandson has taken up golf and he walks the course instead of riding! It has been good for him. Keep it up....swimming is one of the BEST exercises you can do!! Hope your day is Amazing!!
Patricia--check out You Tube for my friend Leslie Sansone! I have used her program off and on for years. It really does work ---when you actually DO it! lol Walk Away The Pounds. I usually play it on the computer while I watch t.v. So I walk while I watch. Heck maybe you will motivate me to start it again.
keep swimming, but seriously check out the free videos online.

Oh SWIMMING ...in the summer..now that is the best :)
The swimming will do wonders Pat. You can get a good cardio workout just holding on to the side and kicking like heck. Also holding the side and jumping up and holding yourself up with your arms before coming back down (upper body too!). Gee I'm just full of advice, maybe I should get off my duff and do more too! LOL. The water aerobics was my favorite because I didn't sweat. Good luck finding a treat mill - try out ellipticals too, I prefer them (not as much impact). I have a lot of opinions today apparently. I'm saving the best for last: in my opinion you are tackling this just as I thought you would and I think that's great. Good for you! Ann
I'm sorry to hear about the diabetes, Pat! I'm trying hard not to get it myself....runs in my family, too, and I've been pre-diabetic for a few years now. I'm inspired seeing what exercise you decide on and how you deal with it.
LOL-Well, your MIND is running full speed ahead, does that count? GREAT post. I hear you- I have every excuse in the world to NOT exercise...including that I don't have a pool! xo Diana
Sounds like you're attacking this like all your other projects. :-) I'm sure the results will be equally beautiful. Be well my bloggy friend!
hugs
Leslie
