Easy Peasy Mystery Project

I’m still working on barn projects—but I wanted to show you a really quick one that I did in no time at all. The Mystery Project

mystery JUNK

It was super easy and I had gotten it out of the way pretty quickly—I had told you that I didn’t get any before pictures… well, I didn’t.

But I got one after picture!

While knocking around in the barn, I came across a piece of plywood that had 4 matching casters on one side.

Why hello little wheels!

The board was too small for what I wanted it for, but I found another piece of plywood that was big enough, in fact, I had to cut it down a bit for it to fit. I wanted it to go underneath my roll top trunk. I had just asked Honey about a week prior to this; if he knew of any casters so that I could do this project?

Just imagine a small piece of plywood with 4 matching casters; and a larger piece of plywood without … take the casters off the small one, put them on the large one!

Here it is under the trunk.  Now, I’m able to move it. This is really important to me—it has baby books, blankets, and keep sakes of my kids in there.  I’m moving it to the craft room near the door.  I’ve always feared what would happen in case of fire.  Some of you know what I’m talking about… You’ve lived through that experience before. I hope that never happens—but if so right near the door with wheels under it…should prove handy!

Easy Peasy!!!  1 Project down—and it cost nothing.  I was thinking since I didn’t paint it—of making a little dust ruffle for it. What do you think?  Too much?  maybe just paint the ply wood?
I don’t know.  I do know I just LOVE the barn clean out projects and all the High Quantity Junk I’ve uncovered.

Til next time, Be Blessed!

That TRUNK is wonderful! I'd paint it some dark color to disappear...the plywood. Black or dark gray or brown - the color of the trunk.

That ain't no junk!!! I kind of like the idea of a ruffle, but it's a beauty as is. May I come prowl around your barn please? Ann

I love stuff on rollers and you are so smart to make a rolling pad for that heavy trunk. I think to just paint or stain the wood the color of the trunk and will just look like a part of it.
Hope you are having fun cleaning out the barn.

The casters are a great idea and it was obviously the thing to do since you found everything you needed right at home.
