:: Moving Ahead—While We’re HERE

It’s like running in place actually.

We’ve decided to keep the idea so far that we’re moving.  We’re going to continue to work on projects and get things done.

Staying Vigilant  and Steadfast in our goal.  In the mean time, we’re going to remain busy!

***Thank you everyone for  your encouraging words—and for sharing your stories and experiences about selling you home. I appreciate each and every one of you for taking the time to write me in the comments.

I don’t have an email for some of you--- but, we have tried talking with the Mortgage Co.  and we currently don’t qualify for “HARP” or “Making Home Affordable” – there are lots of stipulations, “IF THIS—THEN THAT” type clauses.

We’ve looked into pretty thoroughly— but thank you all for the suggestion.

Here is a little bit of what’s been done around the home yesterday and today.

reset clothes line poles 2

  • Cutting the grass for the last time this season—who knows, it is Texas and we may have to cut the grass again before Thanksgiving!

reset clothes line poles

  • Re-setting the clothes line poles.  That cement will set up and we’ll back fill those holes tomorrow.

  Burning Yard clean up

  • Continued Yard Clearing—Old shed and scrub brush

I’m taking pictures of inside the house—things that need those finishing touches to pass muster. I mean we DO HAVE indoor plumbing—floors underfoot, AND A NEW ROOF!   But we have to start somewhere. So seeing it in pictures is helping me with a mental check list.   I think it will also help to see what progress is being made.

‘Til next time, Be Blessed!

Great idea to photograph your "To Do" list! I am so visual, that would really help me! -Marci @ Stone Cottage Adventures

Boy I needed to read/hear that.

I believe that someone day we will be moving- to be nearer our daughters, but I have no idea when that will be.

I am not good at not knowing...

Thank you for your message today.

Your idea of the pictures w/ the To Do list is a great idea! It will be twice the fun when you can cross the item off w/ a FINISHED picture!! Lots of Before & After pics ahead. One day at a time is all we can do. When our son was younger, and had some ADD issues, they told us that to tell him to "go clean your room" was never going to work with him. We had to break it down into pieces so he could see some progress sooner rather than later, and to know where to even start. It is hard not to be overwhelmed with a project like yours and your plans sound like it will surely work for you. Glad you are sharing this journey with us!!

Hi Patricia, I love the post card . . . so true:) Thank you so much for praying for us about our house. We had an offer and it is getting inspected tomorrow or early next week. Hopefully there won't be much that they find needs fixing. We lived in it for over thirty years and loved living there. As the realtor said, don't get too excited until you turn over the keys, because between now and then it is still not a sale. We know that the Lord didn't find us this perfect little place, too not help us sell the old one. I know that the Lord is watching over you and that in His timing we will both be in our new homes, with our old homes sold. I'm still praying for you. Thanks for your prayers and please don't stop:) Have a great day. Love your clothesline. I want Steve to put up poles for me, next spring. There is nothing so sweet as sleep under sun-dried sheets:)
Have a great day.
Your blogging sister,
Connie :)

Well, I have read backwards quite a bit. I am so far behind on reading blogs because it is hard to read on a laptop when lying in bed.

So, you are selling and moving . . . and doing so when you aren't feeling well . . . wow!

I can't imagine moving ever again. Steve and I agreed when we downsized to our little cottage that we were done. We did the trash pile, donate pile, store pile and keep pile and we were done.

It scares me when you say you have had anemia for a long time. I have never had it and now all of a sudden my hemoglobin level was so low that I needed a transfusion. I just had my blood work done again this morning to see where my levels are. The doctors aren't sure what is going on, but I do not want to live like this, SO TIRED, forever.

Good luck with the prep, sale and move. I pray that it goes quickly for you.

Yep- Chin up and just keep moving forward. Those mortgage things are so awful now. Since all those banks lost money and got so many homes that they foreclosed on the world of mortgages has changed forever, I think. They don't take any "chances" on anyone anymore. Kind of sad, really...and you wonder how kids ever get a start in today's world.

Keep going, Pat, You can do this. You have got lots done already. xo Diana

Lots of hard work going on around your place.......We all know that it's all in God's Timing and HIS timing is always PERFECT. That move will take place, but not before God is ready...
Blessings sweet friend

Pat ... I think you are moving in the right direction and you will eventually get to the place you are supposed to be when the time is right. Keep the Faith.
Love your clothesline ... wish I had room for one ... I mean a real old-fashion one, not just a wire strung between two trees.

Just keep doing what you can do (that's all that you really can do anyway)! We tried to sell a few years ago and timing just wasn't right. This time we sold in 7 days. You never know what's going to happen.

I like your "running in place" analogy! I agree; photos help you see things more clearly than your naked eye. I wonder why? Keep up the good work!
