Lively Goings On...

Every year around my birthday- these Wisteria begin to bloom.
I'm not one for big deals- but I'll tell you my
birthday was last week.
They were just beginning to bloom then--
but wow! what a difference
1 week makes!
This one is planted in Memory of my Mom.

I like to plant things around my yard
"In Memory of"

"Or in Honor of"

The one in the background here-
planted
In Honor of my Mother In Love
(who has since passed and I've planted something in memory of I'll show later)

Beth at Cricket Crossing mentioned these crosses
in the Pine trees
and
 that the Pine trees
know when Easter is here.
Can you see the little one right above this text?

This is a close up of some crosses higher up in the trees.
God is wonderful!
His ways are higher than ours.

One of my daughters lives next door to us.
She has a pair of road runners living under her house.

I've been trying to get some pictures-
this is the male
He is making a run from some groceries!
This picture the wind was blowing his feathers.
He is near the road
looking for worms and bugs.

He actually saw me following him with my camera;
but that didn't deter him
he kept right on hunting-
as long as I kept my distance.

This is him through the fence --
this was actually the closest he let me get to him.

UNTIL YESTERDAY!.....
I know this is a dark picture-- can you see him on top of the tv?

How about below?

Well, I know you'll be able to see him in the next picture!
He jumped over the child gate at the daughter's house,
came right on in and was checking himself out in the dressing table mirror.
Honey had to go over and shoo him out side.

He got a little flustered.
The Road Runner-
not Honey.

This action shot turned out pretty good for me!
check out his coloring.

He made it out.

*****NO ROAD RUNNERS WERE HARMED IN THE PUBLISHING OF THIS BLOG***

God bless You today-
Thanks for reading

First of all, Happy Birthday, or should I say "bird-day". Love your "in memory of" Wisteria, how beautiful, both the sentiment and the flowers.

Action shot of Road Runner had me laughing. You must be very fast with that camera!

I don't know where to begin! Beautiful plants - awesome crosses and a Roadrunner in the house! I think it is wonderful you plant memorials - very touching. And what is that pretty yellow thing behind that bird? A cool window?

That roadrunner story was so funny I liked to have choked on my cereal! I have memorials around my yard for people and pets I've loved and lost. Plant flowers there and feel their presence.

I love the crosses! How great is that!

The roadrunner coming into the house probably would have scared me to death. How funny.
