I was going to title this post
"You've got mail."
But you don't.
I've got mail!
I got the cutest little card.
And a pair of these...
Salt and Pepper Shakers! I told myself if I ever came across a pair of these little shakers
... I was going to scoop them up and run home with them as fast as I could.
Because of this....
Aren't they cute together?
My Grandmother had a set of these when I was growing up.
I used to have a pair of these;
I had gotten them from a dear sweet neighbor lady long ago; I always loved them.
She gave the set to me, when I showed interest in them.
... unfortunately one of mine was broken years ago and the other is lost.
( No one remembers what MYSTERIOUSLY became of that other shaker.)
I still have the butter dish, and it sits on my window ledge above my kitchen sink everyday.
Inside it holds little surprises , that I come about from time to time-
(choking hazards really...that little eyes spot before I do!)
My butter dish stands alone no more!
...And so the story goes...
These were given to me by a neighbor...
this time a bloggy neighbor.
Thank you Pat, at JUNK BLOSSOMS!
Aren't they cute?
I just wanted to share what has been shared so generously with me.
God Bless you today.
and
Thanks for reading!

So nice you could get a replacement! Charming!
They are very cute. I'm glad you found them.
YOU, your blog and darling salt n pepper set are TOO SWEET! I must tell you how I feel I was led here to see your daily verses... Yesterday I was worried about a pregnant mare (horse) and today it's my DD... Both times I found just what I needed here and said a prayer of gratitude. Thank you so very much for your kind and inspiring words at my blog. I am also THRILLED to see little ol' me added to your blog roll!
Blessings,
Leslie
Pat, how sweet that your friend here would send those. I love her for that!
Such interesting things that people made long ago, huh?
Have a lovely day!

I have a soft spot for old s&p's too. Love the fact these are shaped like irons! So cute!
Aw, that is so sweet! You must still be smiling. What a nice new neighbor you have!
I am glad that your set is once again complete. The story behind them makes them even more special.
