In my estimation
A small, but growing group of bloggers...taking some time out to TAKE OURSELVES A LITTLE LESS SERIOUSLY...AND JUST HAVE FUN.
Well, of course-- I said Yes! Immediately, I was giddy. Thrilled, even!
To be asked...yes, ASKED...to participate in Tongue in Cheek Tuesday.
But I MUST tell you... as soon as I fired off that email, accepting my mission, the doubt began to settle on me...
Maybe I was over zealous.
Maybe- I should have waited a while...so as not to appear desperate.
Now that I've accepted the invitation...what to write about? You know how indecisive I can be.
Forget indecisive!
No. Procrastinating...that is the worst thing.
On Tuesdays, really?!
Not just any Tuesday...but a specified Tuesday...
What WOULD I write about?
Oh I know! I could write about~~
the fact that I sometimes end my comments, signed Corn! Bliss thinks it's funny.
That is my
'early blogging days--do- I- want- to- tell -people- my-real- name-?- Name' ...
In fact, she addresses me as Corn. Not the first... but still a name I am called on occasion. I've been called worse.
Rose still refers to me as Corn.
OR!!!
I can tell you about; when I first started to blog... I was out and out Anonymous.
How I switched and started blogging about Home, Life, Family, and just sharing my thoughts about my days...and chickens! How I Wasn't doing it for the money... What?! You make money blogging?! Seriously?
OH! and I could tell you how My blog didn't show up in search engines, my URL didn't match my blog title, my family didn't know I blogged either. But then you'd see what a MESS I was!...
But that's OK... because then I could tell you all about how I was going to get myself straightened out, Riiigh-T ! How I told everyone My name(and gender) :
"Hi my Name is Pat"...like I was in a 12 step program or something!
Did I really want to drag that post out of the depths of my blog?
Crazy--I know!
Or I could mention the one when I FINALLY posted a picture of myself.
WHAT WAS I THINKING?! that'll never work.
There IS no turning back.
So here I am 2 years later... doing something that I've been doing all along really. Poking fun at life. Why?
Because
I learned a long time ago. Life is too short to be the only one taking me seriously. Just because I have a blog and I have a well rounded number of people who faithfully read whatever I throw at them... doesn't mean I've 'cut a hog in the butt'. (or bought the most choice cut of meat...in case you were wondering)
People are funny.
People are gonna laugh.
Sometimes, I just need to cut loose and
Laugh at myself...(not nervous laughter) but I CRACK ME UP! kind of laughter!
Now...what to write about?
Well I'm fairly certain....I have no idea what I'll write about.
In the mean time you can read any number of these ladies 'Tongue in Cheek Tuesday's' posts.
I find some of them quite funny.
...and some of them I've not yet met ! But I can't wait.
Kirb Appeal
Bliss Ranch
Silo Hill Farm
Mellywoods Mansion
Simply Vintageous
What We Keep
White Spray Paint
Corn In My Coffee Pot
I think this will be fun-- as soon as I relax a little and find something funny to post.
No pressure.
Tongue in Cheek Tuesday,
P.S.-- along with NO RULES-rules there was supposed to be a THEME or SUBJECT MATTER...uh. well, first of all. I don't generally follow ALL THE RULES. Secondly-- the topic this go-around was RESOLUTIONS. Since I don't do resolutions, I guess you can say... I've Resolved to NOT MAKE RESOLUTIONS...
So, does this mean I've failed miserably? Or passed with flying colors?
Just wondering. Cause I thought that was funny! See? I CRACK ME UP!
So teach us to number our days. That we may present to you a heart of Wisdom. ~ Psalm 90:12

This post is just funny! I so enjoyed
it and it does tell a lot of yourself.
Love it!
Sandy
You don't have to try to come up with funny. They know you will naturally shine in that regard. But there is nothing quite like a deadline and the command to do it that makes it all seize up and go into hiding for some of us. You, my dear, are not one to seize up. Instead, I'm pretty sure you'll "seize" the day! I'm looking forward to the mirth that will ensue on Tongue in Cheek Tuesdays.

I've always said...if you can't laugh at yourself I'll be happy to do it for ya! This looks like a fun challenge and can't wait to read your entries.
You will always pass with flying colours, Pat! And you're so right, life is way too short to take yourself seriously, because nobody else is going to. So LAUGH at yourself and others, too!
Hugs, Cindy
Oh my! I had to laugh....when I first started blogging, my blog didn't match my URL either and didn't show up in anyone's readers! I thought people just didn't like my posts! I'm so glad you accepted and didn't keep make us wait! Thanks for joining in with us on Tongue-in-Cheek Tuesday! I'm glad to get to know you and now I'm off to read, "Hi! Hi, Pat~
I've looked around here and it doesn't appear that you are lacking in TIC style! You are funny. I think it's hilarious that you sign off with "Corn". Makes me wonder if I should have gone by "What".
Nice to met you- looking forward to more TICT!

Well I have no doubt you will excel in this new undertaking! I've been laughing with you for a couple of years now and look forward to seeing what you come up with! Ann
Do you know how many Pat's there are in the blogging world? Now how many Corn's are there? I rest my case. It helps me remember who goes with what blog, because I don't wanna get confused as to who's cutting hogs in the butt and who's not.
Bliss
PS I think there is a future in photography for your grand daughter.
I think TICT is a great idea, and I can't wait to read more!
O my goodness you are too much.. LOL! I LOVED this post!
