We planted bed No.1 cool temp veggies a few weeks ago.

You remember this day right?
We ended up with quite a large Black Spot in our pasture on the North side of the house...
Well our intentions for this spot were-- to let that fill in and just keep it mowed along with the rest of the field.
Our intentions for the rest of our veggie garden was for more raised beds and to try our hand at growing potatoes in upright containers.
Eh, maybe next year!

due to unexpected hard freeze and broken pipes in the house and at the pool.
YES. I said BUY DIRT.
So-- I figure if potatoes grow well in ash covered dirt in Idaho~
Why not here?
We're gonna give it a shot.

Wow! You're way ahead of us here in the heartland. We would be lucky to get any seeds in the ground before May. Not that we will be putting any in, but if we were... it'd be May. Praying for bountiful blessings for you!
We're way behind you in planting things. It will be several weeks before I can plant anything, even in containers. As long as you can keep the potatoes hilled up they should do great.
YOu're making me wish spring would hurry up and come to Indiana. I need to start planning my little garden!
