I'm expecting...

{i knew that would get your attention}I'm only just popping in to say 'Howdie and I'm still here"

...BUT! I AM expecting to get some more furniture this week. I'll be adding a drop-leaf table from my mothers house and a glass enclosed china cabinet from my grandmothers house (this dating about 100 years old). It is due to arrive on Friday.

As for the rest of the week...I've been under the weather a little and not feeling myself. (won't go into it here ...but I'm on the mend.)
Haven't had much to post about.

I will leave you with this couple a handful of photos...
While laid up in bed this week, I had an accident!  My ink pen leaked out on my bedspread!

SEE? any suggestions?

I was about to take this comforter off since warmer temps are trending...
and replace it with this beauty...(tossed on the bed for photo ops)

The quilt looks like it was made by hand but top stitched by machine.

and it needs mending first...
The sham though not identical match has the same colors and will go nicely on the bed.  Got it at BargainLand last week along with the pillow sham , actually my daughter bought them for me, it was a good deal at $5.00!!!

That's it from the country!

God Bless you
and
Thanks for Reading

The only thing i know that gets ink out is to spray hairspray on it before washing (rub out the stain after spraying). But that's a lot of ink, so I don't know if it would work.
Love your new quilt too. Can't wait to see your "new" stuff. Sounds fabulous!

Sorry you haven't been feeling well.

This is the link to the product I used to get ink out of my daughter's new white blouse.

I had the one on the far left in the picture. I just spread it on the stain really well and threw it in the washer. When it came out of the washer the stain was completely gone.

I love the quilted cover and matching sham. At $5 for both it wasn't a deal, it was a steal.

I googled this for you.
Lay the stained area on top of a clean dry white towel. Apply water to the ink stain and blot with another clean white cloth, removing the stain as you blot.

Apply your normal liquid laundry detergent onto the ink stain and allow the garment to sit for 3-5 minutes.

Wash in the warmest water that the fabric can tolerate.

Before drying, double check to make sure the ink stain was removed, if not, repeat the previous steps until it is.

I sure hope it comes out because that is a beautiful bedspread!! Good luck hun:)

Well - first and foremost - I hope you are feeling 100% SOON! Spring is on waving at us and we need you to be healthy and happy to help bring it in!

I have no ink stain solutions (unless duct tape works? hmmmm....)
but your new quilt is GORGEOUS!!!

Feel better! ;-D

Pat,
So glad you are feeling better!

Love the country bed!

Ink stains? Try the hardware store (HD or L). They may have some suggestions!

Have a great weekend,
xo
