My Furniture is Here!

I told you the other day that I was expecting- FURNITURE.

I'm so excited Honey and My Daddy went to Dallas to my Uncles house and got my furniture.

The first piece is a table that came out of my Momma and Daddy's house after Momma passed.
It has been in storage for about 4 1/2 years.  It is so pretty. It has a couple rings (watermarks/spots/blemishes)  that I know can be taken out with a little TLC. It has a pretty patina on the wood and it is a drop leaf,too.

The second piece is a glass china hutch.

It's probably 100 years old (if I were guessing). It was actually my Great Grandmother's (my Daddy's Gramma Terry's) and then when I was a girl it was in my Grandmother's dining room. It's been in storage for almost 10 years, at my Uncle's, can you believe it?

I'm not for certain where these pieces are going to sit permanently but I couldn't wait to get pictures of them to show y'all. Can you tell I'm SO EXCITED????
Oh, and NEITHER of these pieces will be painted. Not my hands! No.THEY. WON'T.

I'm posting this at Miss Mustard Seed's {FFF}

Please remember to pray for the victims and families in Japan, following this latest earthquake.

Houses burn at night following an earthquake in Natori City, Miyagi Prefecture, northeastern Japan. The biggest earthquake to hit Japan in 140 years struck the northeast coast on Friday, triggering a 10-metre tsunami that swept away everything in its path, including houses, cars and farm buildings on fire.

They are gorgeous! That table is so beautiful with its finish and the hutch is perfectly aged. How fun and exciting for you and such memories that come along with them. :)

Just heartbreaking what is unfolding before our eyes in Japan, my prayers go out to them.

Absolutely beautiful and so special. Amazing what treasures just sit in storage waiting to be rediscovered!
So sad about Japan. So thankful my cousin Shiho lives far enough south to not have been affected. Praying for all those lives and families.

My favorite is the table...I'm looking for one like that. You're lucky to have a grandmother that left you such wonderful pieces to enjoy as she did. I've got a few myself. Mel's Cabin

OMG I would be so excited!! Beautiful furniture! The glass front almost looks like a library case? thank you for your comment, it was so funny, just when I think I have used every gun reference word you gals came up with more. You are fabulous, that is exactly what I will do with the left over gun hooks, I saved them, I knew I could use them somehow! I am going to follow you, you just seem like fun, follow me back and we will be BFF's LOL

Thanks for visiting my blog. I'm excited to know you. I have an oma myself and love her dearly. I'm interested to hear how it went teaching your kids crochet. Mine want to learn but struggle and give up. Maybe they are too young 7 and 9 barely. Anyway, love your blog And good luck with the furniture I'm sure they will turn out lovely!
