Behind the Needle Point~

Wow! I'm finally getting around to showing this... but back in March I told you I had a surprise hidden behind the needle point on my Collage Wall in my bedroom.

I was showing you this sign I made;
And how the wall looked then.
Collage walls are a work in progress, right?

 Memorial Day weekend I re-arranged my bedroom for the first time in 16 years ... I moved my bed to a different wall in my room; which I am loving by the way!
Then this past weekend I remembered the surprise; and did a little tweaking on my collage wall.

So here is my surprise... This little canvas painting of what looks to be "Daisies." It's been behind the needle point for a few years. The needle point was done by my Granny.  The other day I took the painting out and stuck it on the clip board-- because I didn't have a frame for it.

Though I don't have this green color in my home in very many places; I like that it works well in this room; and it happens to be my favorite color!

I also added another mirror...of course seeing it now, I should probably have wiped it with water and vinegar to get the smudges off, before showing it to you. ;)

I like the collage wall so much~ I'm thinking of bringing it around the corner to the next wall with the round mirror.
Instead of Collage Wall it will be my Flower Corner!

I love it "framed" by the clip board! Cute piece and a wonderful find! I have items from my grandmothers, mostly crocheted or knitted afghans and a couple other pieces, I thought of doing a post about them...and forgot.

You have a very pleasing arrangement going! I like to let things evolve too. Isn't it funny what the camera catches that you didn't notice before hand? Glad you're enjoying your changes!

What a creative way to display your grandmothers work. I love how your wall turned out.

The wall is lovely and isn't it amazing how moving the furniture around changes everything? Thanks for your comments.

I think your collage wall looks great-I can see why you want to do another one.

Pat your wall looks great, but I really love that daisy painting - the clipboard is a fantastic way to display it. Our bed has been in the same spot for 23 years. No other place to put it in the room. Guess I will have to wait for the impending move to get new perspective, but I love re-arranging furniture and getting a fresh feel! Ann

I love that there was a secret hiding out behind the needlepoint. Your collage is becoming quite the work of art!
