:: Censoring Myself ::

Some days, don't you just want to sit down and write a post that would just spill out onto the screen-- and be totally uninhibited?

Do you ever just want to say everything exactly the way you mean it; and not worry about fumbling with words, or what everyone else thinks?

Some days don't you just want to just tell it like it is?

Have you ever thought "Today is the day, I'm going to share my thoughts with the readers and I just hope that THEY ARE READY FOR IT."

I think that a lot.

True Story.

The grace of the LORD Jesus Christ be with your spirit. Philippians 4:23

I find more and more that you and I have similar thoughts! I felt you must've heard my mind screaming yesterday... So many things I often want to say, and it's so frustrating to try to get it into words, especially interesting ones! Some of my best ideas/thoughts to share go off into oblivion with the inability to 'blog it right.' Things just don't always go into the written word the same way they seemed in my mind.

But so goes part of the problem of constantly thinking in blog posts, which I plan to quit doing...

I think it's interesting how people use their blog and if you want to say your real thoughts I think you should.

Others take on a persona, a bit of themselves magnified in the words behind their posts. That's kinda how I approach mine. So when I post, I AM Fearless Farmgirl! ROAR! Hahaha. But it's not far from the truth.

In my everyday existence, I am not able to be FF. I have to keep her hidden. My ideal life, which I am hoping will be any day now, would be to not have to hide at all. A true existence reflected in my life, in my work and in my posts. I'm living in a 750 square foot condo for God's sake. Ha!

But still I remain,
Fearless

I oh yes....I have those days. But then I always hold back because when I don't....I could stick my foot in my mouth. Or I end up getting horrible comments...and then feel like deleting my blog LOL. (it's happened before LOL).

So I try to just keep everything simple...and it works. But ON YES...there are days LOL>

Have a great weekend,
Connie

Yep, I know exactly what you mean but I've vowed to keep those things to myself. I'm not going to change anyone else's opinions, and vice versa, so what would be the point. It's be boring we all agreed on everything anyway.

Still, I think everyone should blog about anything and everything that they wish to. It's their parlor so-to-speak, and if others feel threatened they know where the door is. (I am not a fan of those folks that visit someone's blog and say nothing but childish, negative things to them all because they don't agree with them or just love attention; even negative attention).

And I have seen little 'sections' on people's blogs where they go into detail about what they believe, so that's always there without having to include it in any daily blog posts. I really like that idea, but I'm too much a computer dunce to know how to change the format of my blog like that.

I can relate closely with you and all these comments so far. Always worried I'll put my foot in my mouth. I remind myself I'm not perfect, why expect it from others? I won't change anyone's mind, but perhaps I'll find some like minded people, which would be very refreshing. Generally, I think the world has quite simply gone crazy, and few can be reasoned with. Unless one is on God's side, then it's casting pearls. Rejoice in the remnant! And rejoice in the hedge set around you and yours.

Hi thanks so much for stopping by my blog and for your lovely comment :-) I definitely do wonder about what/how much to share on my blog... how much personality do I want to share just yet...

As a new blogger struggling to decide what to share and what not to share. I vacillate somewhere between 'keeping it real' and creating a 'character' that is only a few facets of the thousands that make me...well...me. Life isn't always so blogging pretty!

YES YES YES! I have been away for a year...and I just posted my first post in a year...thinking over the time I have spent on my blog...sharing what people want to know about me and my home...has been very difficult and time consuming...to have someone message me and try to censor out parts was a trying ordeal...I have chosen, this year...to write what I want and if people feel that it is not their style then they need to move on...I love my readers and I appreciate their comments and insights but I am who I am and appreciate the honesty others have in expressing themselves and being candid...and I would like the same advantage! So YES!!! be yourself...be candid! you can't please everyone all the time!

For me, writing my blog is pretty much the way I live my life. I want to be transparent, but I don't want to whine. I want to be real, but not disgusting. I want to be myself, but the best me I can be. Some things need to be said, even if they're difficult. Most times, the old MOM RULES apply - "If you can't say something nice, then don't say anything at all."
If you just need to vent - go ahead and write it. Just don't publish right away. Look at it tomorrow. If it rings true - publish. If not - delete.
Blog as counselor. :)
