::Genuine Distressed Chair ::

The other day, I posted this picture from my weekend TWEAKS...It's my bedroom chair.  The Honey saw this picture...and wanted to know why I posted that picture with that chair? " Look at it...it looks so bad", was his response to me. Boy he doesn't have a clue to the kind of pictures I've posted here---He'd be surprised!

So, now... I'm telling you. Look at it. Just look at it.

This is my before bloggin' chair. Before I blogged or even thought of blogging-- I spray painted furniture. I never EVER  thought about writing a note about IT or my experience spray painting furniture, to anybody...let alone the whole world!

Now, there it sits; in all it's DISTRESSED GLORY. Gen. U. INE. distressed glory. All that PATINA, from a can of spray paint;  which at the time probably only cost $2 bucks...maybe! The distressing?
That comes from the kids hanging laundry on the back of it...WITH YES! dare I say it.
METAL CLOTHES HANGERS.

I say why mess with a good thing?

Thou will keep him in perfect peace whose mind is stayed Thee; because he trusts in Thee.
Isaiah 26:3

Ha ha,,, I love that chair and it's
got a story to tell.. My Mr.N can't
for the life of him understand what
this craze of distressed furniture
is all about,, He hates old junk
and is always after me to "Buy New"!
But I don't listen.. "The neighbors
will think were poor!"
Happy Fall to you friend!

Does it make it more distressed now that your honey is distressed it's in public view? LOL

I love the lacy curtains.

It's perfect! Now why doesn't he understand? My husband says, "she paints things and then she sands them and makes them look used. I don't get it, but other people do". LOL Ann

Naturally distressed is sometimes more meaningful than the distressing that we do. Looks good to me.
