::Selling on ETSY; Married to my Stuff ::

Hi All!
Just wanted to stop in a minute-- tell you I'm still here plugging along.
Thank you everyone for the well wishes and "At-A-Girl" --pats on the back and such for getting the shop open.

I'm happy to report...

I woke up this morning (Tuesday morning) to news in the email box... I had made my first sale!!!
I was so excited.

I've now made 2 sales...and am beyond giddy!  =D
**************************************************
We're still having HOT weather here and all this week it is supposed to be in the 100's!!!
While all of you are talking FALL...I'm still getting my laps in every afternoon for exercise... and cooling off time!
Right after I hang out the laundry.

Speaking of laundry~

You remember the Jacquard bedspread I took out of storage last month and washed and hung on the line...

Right before the sky opened up and blew this wet soggy blanket to the ground.

Well, I hung it up and let it dry; after the rained stopped. Then I threw it back in the machine and washed it again... This time it dried and DID NOT GET RAINED ON OR BLOWN TO THE GROUND. YAY!

I thought I'd show you  this Lovely Orange Bedspread...  It looks so pretty on my old iron bed.

Funny the last two photos were cropped and cut and loaded up on blogger ... and they pieced together like puzzles!  I didn't even plan that! I love the fringe around the edge of this blanket.
So pretty.
It has a couple of scars in the fabric.  A small dark spot that won't come out...and a small whole near the bottom edge right next to the fringe.. But it still has some good life to it!  Or perhaps it might look lovely made into something else... who knows!

It's going into my shop!
I know what your saying...What?!?! you're selling it?
Yes! ...yes, I am; and I'll tell you why...  I. don't. need. it.

....Now this post has been so long, I'll go on to explain further next time around...
stay tuned for Part Two of being "Married to my Stuff"

Please don't hate me because you want to know.... :)

Trust in the LORD with all your heart; and lean not on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him and He will make your path straight.

Pat you might make me an Etsy shop owner some day. I'll be watching your progress. Yay for the sales already.

Good for you! I have thought of selling off some of my collections but it takes a lot of time to pack and mail so I have drug my feet. You will have to tell us how it goes and if you feel it is worth it. Best of wishes for selling everything!!

Two Sales!!! Yahoo! I would have some trouble parting with things as well, but I think the $$$ might take the edge off of my feeling that way. Hope you get some cooler temps! Ann
