::RED FROG ::

I thought I'd show you this little guy.
I got him from my Mother in-laws home...he had belonged to my Father in-law. I believe he came as a florist delivery, maybe? He's a hollow vase-- perfect for an Ivy. Though, I've never seen him adorned with an Ivy.
At one time this little guy sat on his desk...and then was moved to the spare bathroom--Doesn't he look cute, sitting there relaxing?
He doesn't have a name-- I just call him 'RED FROG'
I like him because he is different. He's Red. He looks content. I'm sure he's old...but not sure how old... from the 70's, maybe older?  He sits in the hutch; that I received last year from my Dad, around my birthday. If you want, you can read about it here:

Thou will keep him in perfect peace whose mind is stayed on Thee; because he trusts in Thee.   ~Isaiah 26:3

He's cute and I went and visited the other two links. When I saw the furniture pics I thought "Oh please don't CHALK PAINT those heirlooms" and then laughed when I saw your comment that you'd not be painting them :) I think the painting of furniture works for many pieces but not heirlooms like yours!

He does look pretty relaxed, almost like he needs to have a cigarette in one hand.

Well, I do have some heirlooms that would look lovely painted and it would be an improvement for sure. But not these. I love the richness of the wood on both pieces. Thanks for stopping by!

Very relaxed. Perhaps even a bit dapper! Definitely comfortable in his own skin.

I'm partial to frogs--because we have so many green ones here and so many stories to go with them--but I sure wish I had a red one now! Love red. I know your red frog is precious to you--not only because he's cute, but because he has a family history. . . I love the way he's relaxing!
Blessings from the farm. . .

Love your red frog. All froggy needs is a tiny laptop and a recliner and it would look like he was blogging! Your wood finish hutch is so pretty, and so is your antique wood table. I looked back at your previous posts. Don't you just love furniture that has come down through the family for generations? I know I do. I feel like it carries the personalities of the previous owners along with it.
