Trying to decide when is the best time to plant and what?!
Our son in law came over on Sunday and tilled up this little patch of dirt. Formerly, the huglebeet/huglekulter and raised bed garden.
We've decided to go away from the raised bed boxes in this particular garden this year. That is what all the mess is at the top of the photo...our old boxes. I think we're moving them to the front
The dirt here in this spot is so rich!
I think we're just going to put corn and potatoes here.
Still learning about what can be planted with what other plants.
We thought about making it larger; but we think with the raised beds in the front, it will be enough.
This little bunny has been living under our barn. I found out he's been sneaking in the chicken coop during the day when the door is open; and helping himself to the feed.
Ooops! What's that?
Well!... he just sat there and let me feed him.
He's so adorable...
and quite the 'fatty'!
These flowers are pretty hardy-- I've sent some to Oklahoma and some to Waco...and as far as I know they've survived and have grown. These are some I thinned out from my own garden; but originally I dug them up from my brother's place in Greenville,TX. A well traveled little plant.

When you name the bunny.... so cute, I would have fed him/her too. Your soil does look very rich, Pat, I think your garden will do well. I look forward to following the progress of it! Ann
I would love to have a large garden area this year. I don't think it will happen so I will continue to garden in buckets. Your weather sounds pretty nice, right about now.

We have a bunny in our barnyard that I found when he was no bigger than my thumb. We named him Foo Foo and he is still around (or at least I like to think so, because there's about a million rabbits in our neighborhood) driving the dog nuts!

Everything in your post today felt Spring-y. It looks like you have a really nice garden spot. I loved seeing your chubby bunny. Do you think it's just from eating chicken feed, or maybe it is going to be a mama. Your phlox look very pretty there in the rock garden. I've never had much luck with phlox, but yours are so pretty, maybe I'll give them another try.
We love the bunnies we have here. They come around a lot more now that the dog is gone, bless his heart.
