:: Finishing Touches on the Baby's Room::

This is what I worked on this weekend. I used my
vintage Viking 51 and remade the cover on this thrifted baby swing. I found inspiration
Stone Cottage Adventure thrifty swing makeover

I think it will look so cute in the baby's room!

This is what it looked like before I started. I was thinking about repainting it...but I can't paint the tray...because baby will be chewing and gumming it...
So, if I repaint any of it, I'll just do the legs and such.
It DID have a Ted E. Bear motif.

Now... thanks to this little tutorial I pinned and modified for the rug pictured above... (in the room)

It has an Elephant motif!!!!

I've used this swing with most of my Littles-- I bought it at Bargainland years ago...and called Graco to order 1 front leg ...spent very little on this swing, probably about $17 bucks total. I like remaking the cover for it. I'm having fun renewing my desire to sew...and I'm having such fun sewing for this baby. :)

Not long now, I can't wait for this baby to get here!!  When my daughter takes a photo of the swing in the baby's room...I'll be sure and show you. ;)

That does look nice with the blue legs of the swing. You did a nice job.

Great job! Must have been a bit tricky. When I was a baby, a hundred years ago, my folks borrowed a swing, and I loved it. So when my sister came along, they bought a new swing, and she hated it. That's life, isn't it?
