Pumpkin Everything!

My daughter text me this from work today-
Below, I will share my response. (We had a good laugh!)

Pumpkin Everything

Ha-ha!
I am not READY for summer to be over!!!

So, I stand here and shake my fist defiantly at the trees;
As they shed their leaves forsaking me of the shade and opportunity to sit beneath it's breeze blown bough sipping iced tea !!
I snarl at the squirrel who hurriedly gathers his share of nuts;
Looking at me with cheeks swollen from greediness,
As if he says to me “get ready the frost is upon us!”

No.
I am not ready for summer to leave us- and I'm not ready to embrace Pumpkin Everything!

I am holding onto Summer a little while longer. Enjoying what I can before cooler temps and shorter days come.  What about you, are you ready for Summer to end?  Are you ready for Fall or PUMPKIN EVERYTHING?!

Til next time, Be Blessed!

As much as I love the Fall season, I can truly say that I am not ready for Summer to fade away. This has been a lovely Summer, but a fast one as well..... I do love the scents of Fall and gorgeous colors that adorn the fields, but please let me have a few more days of Summer...

Where I live it seems like summer lasts 10 years! I can't wait for pumpkin weather!

Hi Pat ... cute answer to your daughter. I really enjoyed it. The squirrels are robbing our trees of green pecans too as they do every year. We never get pecans and we have two trees that we planted about ten years ago. I don't know if I am ready for Fall, but really ready for cooler days. We had over 2½" of rain yesterday evening and night. Such a blessing. This will be good for the trees going into winter.
Blessing,

Our Summer has been so mild, I'm not quite ready for it to go yet. Next week though, temps are supposed to be triple digit, which is normal for us. I bet I get over Summer really quick next week! ;-) -Marci @ Stone Cottage Adventures
