:: Blurred Lines-

We bought a camper with every intention to ‘fix it up’.  We had plans. Big plans. Plans to camp. Then life happened. After only about 2 1/2 months of owning it – The Honey had that heart attack followed by a stroke.

Suddenly, taking life slow, making memories; Enjoying Retirement and enjoying LIFE—all became BLURRED LINES.  Camping and traveling was supposed to be ALL THAT FOR US!

Work on the camper came to a grinding halt. My focus has been getting my husband healthy. Taking care of important matters.  For the next 3 1/2 years—our little camper could be seen in the corner of photos; OR WAS EDITED OUT! Our little camper was moved here and there to accommodate the mower first; then the new shed.  The little camper was planted in the back yard only to be moved when absolutely necessary. Before long, it came to be a make shift storage.
Sitting in the sidelines, as though it were watching our family go about life—but never going anywhere.

I always wondered when driving through the country side—why that family down the road had a camper parked out back?  I wondered if they ever camped inside it. If it ever was allowed to roam the highway—or if it just sat there with grass growing around its wheels.

Stuck in a proverbial rut.

We are that family.

Only now—when I see those campers, sitting.  I wonder, What happened to that family?  How come they are no longer camping together?  Did the marriage break up?  Did they suffer a loss?   Illness, financial woes,
…what?

Ours was illness. Then the finance of remodeling an old camper.
Then…
and then…
ant then…

Until about 2 weeks ago.

T.H. woke up one morning with renewed verve for the camper project.  So all things collected and amassed for restoration are being pulled into the light.  The YOU-niversity of TUBE is now being accessed on all channels!  Resources are being pulled into action!

been doing little projects. First things first—WATER PROOFING!  We’ve also added lights which I wrote about on my other blog formerly CORN IN MY COFFEE- CAN Some Vintage Campers are called TIN-CAN CAMPERS*** Now... Lil'Camper that Could.

had that blog closed for a little bit but with the new posts that will be coming I thought I’d make it available to read again.  You can access it at the top right of this blog by clicking the little camper art—

I am grateful for so much that we've been given. We will work on this little camper together-- side by side, getting it ready for travel, memories, camping and fun!  Whether we finish it or not-- I'm grateful God is giving us the opportunity to work on it together.  Even in doing that we are making memories.  Slow and steady wins the race!

I have to say, Honey’s enthusiasm is contagious.  I’ve been pouring over Pin boards on pinterest and Tin Can Tourists… Craigslist and other places looking for parts and ideas for building out the inside.  Ours has been gutted.  So the sky is the limit!  Well, maybe not the sky——but…

Til next time, Be Blessed!

My husband & I are enjoying our trailer and also another one we use as a cottage ( lovely term ) for company. What fun for you both. I am so happy to read this.

Joy to you as you and you sweety fix this up. I long for something for me and mine to do together with a joyous outcome. Life does get in the way it seems for everyone. We are focused on finding work and getting back on track, seems never ending. Looking forward to your camper series, it sounds fun and would be something which I would enjoy doing.
