Over the weekend I made zippered pouches for WEST AND EAST…
I made one little flaw in my sewing on Saturday.
I didn’t close up the sewing machine.
Miss B. got here today and took one look at the machine sitting out, in all it’s radiant glory…

Looking back now, I wish I’d gotten a before photo of this blouse. It was really cute! I got it at the thrift store at the bag day sale…$7 a bag! SO COST…NEXT TO NOTHING! You’re looking at the back. I wanted it to come up high enough to cover her front…after all, I get messy when I cook. It makes perfect sense that she would too! The teal parts are added. It matches the little teal flower petals… trust me it’s there. But I took this with my iPhone. Just close your eyes and imagine. {smile}

It wasn’t ruffled… I cut the bottom off and created the ruffle since it had ruffles around the neck line and she wanted pockets… those are OUR creation too. She told me just where to put them! I used scraps including some smocking from the front, to make them. I cut the tie off and repositioned it to fit her waist, we still had to wrap it and tie it in the front. But you can tell by the smile she loves it! On the back there’s a strap sewn in to keep the shoulders up, at her insistence; and she just pops it over her head before tying.

What I got done today—toward the budget: - Called and switched phone providers. I’ll update on that later. I’m anxious to see how this Old People plan works out. Savings of about $60 a month…crossing my fingers.
- Made Taco wraps for supper – 2 people about $3!
- More Laundry—Solar Dried—FREE
- Vacuumed all the rugs…
- Sewing with grand daughter… and making memories… PRICELESS!

Therefore be careful how you walk, not as unwise men but as wise, making the most of your time, because the days are evil. So then do not be foolish, but understand what the will of the Lord is.~ Ephesians 5:15-17

Love this post! That apron is darling and so is your granddaughter. I can feel the love as I read this post. I'm also intrigued by the what you did towards your budget and will have to read more on this as I'm trying to do the same thing. Live less expensively
The things you see in the things around you and what you do with them is also priceless!
I am loving your Notes to Selfie, too!
She is adorable and the apron is great.
love the apron . . . love the Notes to Selfie
Sweet...and what a pretty little masked girl. : )
Ok. I'm kicking procrastination to the curb and kicking my butt off the couch so no more blog reading today! Isn't sewing just awesome?
