I’m setting it free from my home. For the next 30 days- I’m working on a little bit at time; getting it out of my house! I’m following along here with these 3 ladies and tons of others via Instagram.
I’m not going to be posting about it A LOT HERE @ CORN in my Coffee-pot. I’m mostly posting on Instagram. Here are the first two days if you’re interested. You can check out these blogs and still join in, if you want. You can also check out #clutterfree30 on instagram for more inspiration. ;)
Day 1: 3 bags 30 mins—mine are from left to right Donate, Clutter/trash, and Recyclables. It doesn’t look like much—but its something!
Day 2: PANTRY SWEEP! Before: Lots of boxes and containers that need emptying into jars and storage.
After: shelves cleaned off, wiped free of crumbs, straightened the cookbooks—consolidated containers, tossed outdated items.
The residual trappings of packaged foods. :/ One of the things I’m working on this year—is to try and lessen the amount of garbage and waste I bring into our home. The tin cans are the worst. Any tins I have- will hopefully be recycled. The less wrapping the better. I’m also trying to do this with MYO (make your own) recipes. I found some good ones over the holidays. I’ll share the links soon.
I’m doing this Clutterfree 30 days…as a personal challenge to help motivate me—and to keep the focus.
Thanks to these ladies for putting the list together and helping to motivate me in my home!

I started in on our closet yesterday, it's sandwiched between the bathroom and stairs so it is really long (17 ft) and holds shelves on one side, hangers on the other. I organized and swept, threw out the old, worn shoes and have a mountain of old clothes to donate or cut into fabric squares. I intend to take 2 bags a week with me to work and stop by the Salvation Army or Savers and donate on my way home. The day before I tackled the spare bath closet which housed years and years worth of old medicines, shampoos, etc. I have two shoe boxes of medicines and vitamins to get rid of if I can find where to turn them in. I don't want to put them in the trash although I suppose I could burn them in the incinerator which is an outside unit so fumes would not be an issue.
You can compost the vitamins. I'd take the meds to the pharmacy. They must have a safe way to dispose. I'm decluttering my head this year. I've already started with very limited time on the computer. But Corn is still one of my favorite reads. You are a keeper.
It sounds like a great plan to me! When I have my equilibrium back, I plan to purge too.

I'm doing some of the same kinds of things, we have a few problem areas, and I'm tackling them while the weather is not user friendly, Goodwill be benefit. Bought a shredder today going thru files and purging along the way. To much stuff, a fire hazard, collects dust and space. 30 days is quite ambitious...Happy new year
All it takes is some good motivation and it looks like you have it going on!! My daughters are still out for the Christmas Break (both teachers) and they cleaned my house and organized....I am one happy camper!!
I'm not doing this list, but I resolve to be productive ONE hour every day..... so many days when I lay my head down, I realize that I did nothing to make me feel better.... so that includes exercising and/or cleaning for 1 hour each day. So far, so good.
I have tackled a few cabinets, the living room, my bedroom.... still a LOT to go--but I have 361 more days. hehehehe yeah, right. Feel free to call me out on it in a few months.
good luck to you!
I plan on cleaning out this year-- will take longer than 30 days, for sure. I can't do that much at once so do little increments. Already started yesterday!
