The weekend and The mail

I posted last week that I had a small list of things I wanted to get done. I was pretty successful AND-pretty happy with the results so far in the living room!

Window A/C beforeDIY Drop Cloth Shade

What a difference a new shade and a little white paint makes, HUH?

Two things I love that are in there right now-- my green woolen free cycle rug- and the new to me navy blue leather recliner!

Blue Leather Wingback Recliner

I've been pinning tons of rooms with a blue and green color scheme. It is an attention grabber for me at the moment.

The best part so far is- I'm shopping the house and doing it all for free. (no more out of pocket than I’ve already spent… I mean) The roll up shades are complete - and they're recycled materials. They have such a light and airy feel to them. I want to make a set for the mud room ! You can read my tutorial for them, if you like : DIY DROP CLOTH TUTORIAL

Changes are slow around here- no project ever gets done all at once. So I figure why not share the progress, right?

I also wanted to mention I won a drawing from a real helicopter drawing last weekend-- not your average raffle copter! ( I did NOT win a helicopter! LOL)

Paper Art Lydia's Post

Thanks to Diane @ Lydia's Post—her blog.
She was quick to get it shipped too! I got it Monday!
She creates one- of-a-kind works of Art-- in the form of greeting / occasional cards , hang tags, book marks-- and lots more!
She also has an Etsy shop
It’s only Tuesday?  …it feels much closer to Friday than that!

‘Til next time, be blessed!

It's a wonderful look going on in that room with the blue and green and new shades (which I love). You have done a great job, Pat. So glad you are staying there now and can do all these things. xo Diana

Everything looks wonderful! I love that blue chair so much! I also love the blue and green combo. Ya did good! My hubby is out of town, trying to knock out some extra work, we'll see how that goes!

It looks great! I love drop cloth. I use a lot of them around my house. They are great for bed spreads too!

Blue and green are my two favorite colors. Give me some beige and I'm good to go. It looks great! You've done well :)

hey sweet friend, I have missed you since I have not blogged in so long...Moma has been with me almost 10 months now, God is really trying to show me things I should have learned 40 years ago, glad he is long suffering. We went to the trash haul off too... Me and Moma wanted stuff, too. I love your new chair and roller shades, need to make some for this house, windows are so tall, 82 inches and we have window units, too, saw always trying to rig something.
