I have been reading all the blogs regarding tweaking and fine tuning one's blog. Funky Junk Interiors (Donna's) tips are really helpful; and then I read Miss Mustard Seed's guest poster
So now what I need to know is... What should I do?
My URL doesn't match my title.
I need to change that to make my blog easier to remember!
I don't have a gimmick, I don't have any flashy attractions, I'm not giving anything away- YET.
I'm not running a business or promoting a service
Or even advertising.
I just want to blog.
But, I'd like nothing more for people to be able to find me easily.
So, I need to change
a.) my title
b.) my URL
Which?
If I change my Title to match my URL... there would be confusion.
There is already a Casual Cottage. I don't want to infringe.
If I change my URL
I don't have any crumbs to leave my *followers*
in the World Wide Forest
Y'all won't be able to find me.
I'll be lost!
And the other thing is this.
I blog anonymously.
I am not hiding.
But the World Wide Forest, well,
it skeers me!
I want to open up to all of you; My readers , followers and my cyber-friends
I want to share other things, thoughts, ideas, with all of you.
Right now, I just blog about projects I am doing around my home.
I suffer from *deferred maintenance* and
*house keeping deficit*
After years of taking care of a family, and then recently a mother in law
who was terminally ill, and now, baby sitting grand-kids during the day
and my Honey is recently retired--
I have let things go.
More than anything I want to be the best homemaker I can possibly be.
I want to be a helpmeet for my Honey.
He worked hard to get out little farm house in the country.
So...
I am saying changes are coming to my little blog.
I will share more about me and my life with you.
I will not care about the snickers, I deal with all that life gives me
with a few snickers at myself!
What I need your help with is the above.
1st things 1st...
would it be easier to change my title?
or my URL,
and will you all make a note of it?
Will you follow?
How. How do I go about doing that.
Also,
I'd like to put my email address
right out front on the side bar
in plain site so you don't have to click , click , click
to email me.
This is probably just plain simple
and
I've more than likely over-looked it.
If you could point me in the right direction?

hi ya!
changing up your blog is not easy. I messed mine up last month and it's taken me a long time to get it back. If you want to make changes, I suggest you do it before you grow too much.
E-mail... set up a separate account at yahoo or gmail that is the same as the blog name. Mine is myrepurposedlife@gmail.com
easy peasy.
to do the e-mail button thing, you go to layout and add a gadget. I believe it's java html. I am going to put the code to mine below, you can copy and paste it, and replace my info with your own. Sorry, that's the best I can do. It's late, and my brain is tired. also, give us a name, an aka or a nickname. Something! :) maybe we should just call you corny? hahahah

if you start a new blog, keep this one open for the time being. I don't agree with everything that ms mustard seed's poster said, but I do think it makes it confusing when the url and the blog name do not match.

My brain must be tired too, cause that was clear as mud.
But thanks on the advice about keeping this one open, moving before I'm too big...(in fact my followers have been growing pretty fast lately) and giving you a name... and, for letting me know I'm not alone on *everybody's advice*... there is a charge for some of that help out there.
So, I am still stumped about the name and URL...thingy...

Yep. My URL and blog name do not match either. My brain is also mud. Donna at Funky Junk Interiors really knows her stuff. Email her. She's a gem and I just know would be able to answer more questions that you may have.
