I don't read Elle Decor magazine. But I saw this article about Meg Ryan's home on yahoo.
I loved it. Her home is her home.
It is what it is.
If you've read some of the blogs I've read. Her clean white slate, cottage , horizontal wood walls--- perfect! Looks like something Layla at the Lettered Cottage might have designed.
She even has the * ephemera that is so popular in homes right now;
with her big metal lettered 'flowers'
and yet the Author of this article calls it ' un-perky'... Hello! Does your house have to be perky? REALLY?!
I read the comments that people have left at the bottom of this article.
"It needs more color" ? Her style is minimalist-- cottage--- not fussy. Color--- that would be perky- that would not be minimalist!
Somebody EVEN commented about her hair?!
they clearly don't read the same thing I read on the internet!
They obviously don't get it--
IT's HER HOME PEOPLE... IT IS WHAT IT IS...

People can be so rude sometimes...like just because she's famous she isn't a real person with feelings. I love this place, the linen covers, metal sign, tall open feeling, and I LOVE her hair. I once got mine done like Tina Turner, hee hee! Hey she's 48 and gorgeous, who cares about her hair! Thanks for the little fantasy field trip! Lezlee
I've had to be rethinking my ideas about white. Meg's home reflects her unfussiness.
I'm pretty sure the article wasn't about her hair. Who needs to do it up when they're just hanging out?

I am so a fan of white monochromatic color schemes...love the simplicity and the ease of cleaning...really liked her home!
