While everyone else is minding their own ‘chicken business’… “Do you mind if I just lie here and fluff the dirt?” She’s one dirty little chicken! “ ‘Scuse me, while I roll in the dirt”
I’m not sure what this is…but it must feel wonderful! This is the very first time I’ve ever seen my chicken ‘dust bathing’, I guess.
It’s a curious thing to me. Wallowing in the mud. Or in this instance 'rolling around in the dirt’
God bless you and thanks for reading!

How cute Pat! I enjoy hearing about your chickens. They make me smile.
Have a Blessed day,
Gail
Cute! Wouldn't it be nice if you could know what she is thinking!
They are pretty, however! I think it must be a way of cleaning or scratching them selves? Should google it eh? As far as the corn pudding goes it was a bit sweet for me and I think next time I would use less sugar. But then it is nice if you like sweet stuff! I am used to cornbread stuff with hardly any sugar. I have not tried cooking it in the crock. I don't think it would brown in the crock and this is cooked in the oven---so you get a little crustiness on the outside and pudding like in the inside. It is not like cornbread.
I love it! I always like to see what your girls are up to. Ann
Hi, those are cute pictures! As I understand it, chickens do this to destroy or get rid of any skin ickies (like mites) that they might pick up. It's a preventive thing, done on the instinct God gave them, I guess. Pretty interesting, I thought!

Wow, I found my way here via Pinterest while looking up fire starters. sorta long way around, huh? ;-)
I'm going to follow you because you're just the kind of down to earth lady I like.
Nice to meet you!
