Three weeks ago The Honey said to me, "get up let's go for a drive"
We drove around the other side of the lake
and hit the antique malls.
I took lots of pictures-- as with most my photos, a lot of them were blurry.
As I was going through them-- I noticed familiarity in what caught my eye.
Textiles-- and a few sewing machines.
I prefer crocheting over sewing-- but sewing machines fascinate me. A couple of these were children's sewing machines; including the Elna-- (there are 3 tatting shuttles in that photo too!) Remember, I'm trying to learn to Tat.
Of course, The basket of lace and doilies in the center bottom of this mosaic was just as lovely as could be!
As to the 'mosaic' it's my second one. I'd enlarge it for you...but my blog template won't jive with it. I think you can click on it to see it better.
I was just thrilled that The Honey wanted to go antiquing!
That usually isn't his thing.
We had fun- and made a day of it.
Elaine at Sunny Simple Life is hosting her first blog party. She said just post a simple post.
I was looking at this one. I noticed it had all the elements of simple to it--
A day spent browsing through 'old junk'
A day spent with my Honey.
Looking at the tools of home crafting and textiles!
Time spent creating this Mosaic.
all pretty simple things.
All things I'm grateful for!
You can't get much simpler than that, really.
Won't you hop over to the Sunny Simple Life -- have a show of support for her first blog party and join in this simple blog hop?

You sweetie. Thanks so much. I love it when the hubby suggests a trip somewhere and that doesn't happen often. Lovely linens.
I've really had the urge to go junking lately. It's just so hot out. And saving for more of my fence.

I love that you CAN mosaic! I hope to join Elaine next Sunday when my brain stops whirling around! Love that lake, you live in such a pretty part of the state. Ann
I absolutely LOVE days like that. No plans, just stopping where you feel like it...that is a great day!!
Looks like a great simple day... I love days like that! Happy Sunday!
Lucky you that the hubs was into antiquing! My hubs would go and wouldn't complain but I know inside he'd be wishing he was anywhere but there!
Love your sewing machines! My mom-in-law has an old kids one up in her attic just waiting for me to steal, I mean borrow!!

How fun to go antiquing with your hubby! You saw some really nice stuff.
Hugs, Cindy
I found you through Sunny Simple Sundays linky party. I wish my hubby would come over to the dark side - but finally I have gotten him to go to the occasional garage sale and farmers market, just need to cross the Antique barrier now.
You like looking at the same stuff I do when antique mall shopping. Great photos :)
Blessings!
Gail
