:: What Procrastinators Do ::

::Day 22::

When we procrastinate--

Oh yes, there is that word again.  I thought I’d be able to shake it.

But No. There it is.

I thought by giving myself a challenge and writing everyday for ::31 Days:: …which I HAVE done, I’d be able to shake the Procrastinator’s Vibe.

Boy, was I wrong.

I didn’t want to make this about my couch. But a lot of my posts have been about my couch.

In fact…

I’m so crazy with writing now- it is like this blog has become The Couch.

I come in—tell it my problems-- it takes notes and nods, with a quiet “Mmmm-hmmm…” and a condescending, “how does that make you feel?”

Then I leave after pouring myself out… Feeling Much Better! :)

So… about my couch. My REAL COUCH.  Am I finished? No.  But very close!!!

I haven’t worked on it in almost a week.

Since before FAIR DAYsince I posted THIS picture.

Then… I got on a crocheting binge.  You know ‘strike when the iron is hot’ and all that.  Well, that is what people, who are NOT procrastinators say—I would imagine.

Finally, The Honey comes in last night and says… well, what are going to do next to get this thing finished ?

I told him “I’LL work on it tomorrow.”

Got up and went into the kitchen…

And made Mock Apple Pie—with some canned zucchini from last years garden.

YUMMY!

Sounds like you're having a hard time getting going, aren't you. I wish I could say something to help, but I'm a procrastinator too! So join the club of "I can do that tomorrow"!
I have a pair of jeans on my sewing cabinet that I MUST have done for tomorrow, so that is on my agenda. I've only had them for three weeks! They belong to our church music director and keyboard player. He's a sweetheart and really does need his jeans!
I'll do it tomorrow!
Hugs, Cindy

LOL! You are so funny. When I have something I really HATE to do I do it first so it is out of the way and not hanging over my head. xo Diana

So funny, maybe because I understand all too well!! I had high expectations of myself too. Maybe I haven't reached each goal I set at the start of the month, but I have knocked some things off the list. You did too. The couch is further along than it was! You too have accomplished things during this 31 day challenge!! I don't think that we are procrastinators after this, we just don't work as fast as others! We have been blogging each day and that is an accomplishment too! Woo Hoo for us!!

This is wonderful and I am off to read more!
Procrastination and moving from one project to another...hmmm.
I think we were separated at birth!

Enjoyed visiting,

If you are accomplishing other tasks, are you really procrastinating? Maybe those other 'things' took precedence over The Couch. Maybe it's about accomplishing a small portion of The Couch a day, or a week, instead of completing The ENTIRE Couch at once, or working on it nonstop until it's finished. Progress does not mean zero to sixty in sixty. Sometimes, progress is taking a small step each day, regardless of the number of days to pass between started and finished.
