Saturday Thrift-

On Saturday I spent part of the morning and early afternoon with my youngest daughter. She likes thrifting- so we hit the road and went to the resource center, we also visited the Good-Will - though it's not my favorite place to shop. Sometimes you can find a deal.

They do have a nice set up in the apparel section - with the clothes divided by color. I wasn't really shopping for clothing; so I didn't spend much time in that section.  I looked at books, furniture, and small glassware. I bought a Dr. Seuss reader for the kids- they are great books for early readers! I bought a board book for Vince-- pictures. He's learning to talk; but never too young for books. I also bought 1 Little Golden Book about life on the farm.

At the check out I spotted a Texas Ranger t-shirt hanging on the wall- no one was behind us-- so I ran over real quick and checked it. There was no tag on it. Good will has a policy that "if there is no tag they won't sell it, until after tagging and 24 hr waiting period".  Our checker was a manager, small blessing.
She sold it to me anyway, without the ticket—WOOT! WOOT!

It was #17 Cruz- ( he plays for the Mariners now) the Rangers were actually playing the Mariners this past weekend, too. We lost. Either way, I  was excited to have the t-shirt and at a great price!

Rangers T- Scala Collection- Freedom 76

Down the road at the resource center- I bought a pair of Freedom 76 shorts. I'll use them for sleeping this summer; and I also bought a woven straw Scala collection messenger bag.
I'm all set for summer, with a patriotic theme, wouldn't you say?!

After that—we picked up some lunch and headed on home to feed the guys! Our son was here on Saturday and Sunday working on his house… he got all the siding on and the roof. We had a storm with high-winds blow through Saturday night—so he got it all done just in time. The roof held!

I'm working on a repurposed-sewing project right now for my living room. It's not finished- but in involves drop cloth-- you might be surprised. I don't sew during the day- so working in the afternoons and evening- I hope to be finished by the end of the week.

It’s hard to justify indoor projects with such nice weather, but I’m not gardening much right now. It’s a balance.

Are you working on any indoor projects?

‘Til next time, be blessed.

Patricia

Nice thrift finds. We have many projects going on right now. Currently, I'm repainting my kitchen cupboards and adding hardware. We have not had hardware on them ever. I'm excited to finally have handles on every drawer and cupboard.
