In Our Yard today...

I showed you my kids old pony back in March and how we found it behind the barn -- all but forgotten.
You can read about it here

After finding a perfect rope LASSO (really, a lasso)  in the middle of the FM Rd --coming back from town,
SOME POOR COWBOY is probably thinkin'
"Uh, well, I know I had it on thu truck when I was roundin' up them last cows, Thu udder mornin'."
 he has found a new home;
in a front yard tree! This time so  the Grands can love and enjoy him!

When last we saw him, he didn't have a rope, he didn't have a mane, or a tail.

But, with my newly- learned- Tassle- makin'- Sav vy---
He's got a new tail, a new mane, and BANGS!

Here he is in action!
I won't show his face...but believe me, when I say
this 2 year old is laughing so hard---
in fact he gets to gigglin and falls off and Honey catches him
just in the nick of time.

Here are a few other attractions in our yard this week.

You've heard of a Scard-y CAT?

Well, this is Gracie our Scard-y DOG---
...And our littlest Angel 'til June.
Both gettin' some lovin'

My Son-in-law knows my appreciation for found
and un-necessarily trashed objects.
He rescued this for me from one of his clients trash bin.
(He asked first-It was missing a few essential parts)
"New to Me" bird house.
Honey and I made the parts needed to finish putting it together.
Apparently this thing had gone from store to home, and then circulated the neighborhood with missing parts and No one knew how to fix it...
SIL said, 'He knew I'd "McGyver-It"
Spray paint to the rescue!
My over grown Rose bush...smells divine wafting into my kitchen window(not pictured)
I don't have the knack for pruning ...Can you TELL?
I usually ending up killing whatever it is I'm pruning.

And lastly ...in the yard today-- Honey's Toy!
It's our 1967 Porsche 912.
Honey took it out to wash it ... get the pollen off, and just look at it.
It doesn't have A/C ...so today would be a nice day to drive it.
The weather is gorgeous outside.
So... I'm getting back out there.

PS... thanks for the sentiments on my camera issues, mentioned in the previous post.
I have realized cheap batteries won't do it, since I'm camera happy now.
So I bought a nice charger with 2-- yes, TWO sets of
RECHARGEABLE BATTERIES!

I'll leave you with this verse today.

Some boast in chariots and some in horses, But we will boast in the name of the LORD, our God.
Psalm 20:7

Until next time-

God Bless You.

I just love those "tired" steeds! Have seen some rounds these parts too! I also love your "ramblin'" rose. Doesn't look like she needs pruning at all.

Thanks for your appreciation of my musings of the happenings here in South Florida. It really boggles the mind experiencing this place. Thank you again and I would definitely fire up that porsche and take her for a spin. She's a beaut!

Tail, mane and bangs! Bangs! I noticed the bangs right away and felt so happy about them!!!

I keep missing your posts for some reason. I don't know why. (in case you were wondering why I haven't "shouted" any at ya!)

The color of that car made my mouth water. Is that strange or what? I think it reminded me of these orange spongey candy things I ate when I was a kid. They were shaped like a large peanut. Do you remember those, being that we're close in age???

I love those horse tire swings! I always wanted one for the kids but we never had a tree to put one in. And the Porche- whoo eee, she's sweet!

Your yard looks so fun. The horse is great, the roses so happy, especially loving the big scaredy dog with baby. How cute!
I just found a birdhouse at the curb the other day too, it just needs a little fixing and will be perfect in the yard. Yours is amazing looking.
Sorry I haven't been over to read in a bit. I'm adding you to my blogroll so I can see every time you post!
Have a wonderful weekend.
