MMS COPY CAT CHALLENGE!

Copy Me Challenge

Recently I asked all you my faithful readers to help me with my dated and decor challenged Living Room.
Y'all were so helpful and encouraging.

So now...
While I am in no way finished with the room make-over~
Let's face it, these things take time~
I AM participating in the Copy Me Challenge that is being put-on by Miss Mustard Seed and Funky Junk Interiors
Couple of reasons
1. I need a break.
2. I'd like to pay homage to my mentors (smile)
3. I think it would be just good ol' fun!

So- this is my link up for
Miss Mustard Seed's Party.
Hopefully by the time the week is out
I'll have posted something for Donna, too!

This is my inspiration photo from Miss Mustard Seed.
Her dining room!
Lovely piece of work.
With a touch of whimsy.

This is my take on this vignette...

Just in case you've been watching my RE-decorating SAGA...
I'll recap a little.
I've painted my walls a different color.
GrEy...
I like it much better.
The board and batten is pretty new too.

This is the table top that sits in this corner now.
All dressed and ready for a party honoring one of my favorite teachers.

Pretty plates in a row.
The finished corner vignette.

Now before I leave I'll share a few of my other projects that have some MMS inspiration to them as well.

Now, I haven't always been a copy-cat... but I did do this project
notice the stoneware pitcher and platter on the mantle over the stove.
Miss Mustard Seed likes that sort of thing too... (smile)

When I was just a LURKER...
Miss Mustard Seed inspired me to take this...

and make into THIS...

it may have been the very first piece I posted on
FURNITURE FEATURE FRIDAY
too!
I was so honored that she thought I did a good a job~ (smile)
don't you just love being the teachers pet...
you can read about it here. (my old blog)

And according to my stats page...
You the reader have made this the most popular post on my blog...

The piece that started my Copy Cat RAGE...
Grand-daughters dresser... (an apple for my teacher)
*edited to say... OH YEAH!  AND SHE FEATURED ME ON THIS TOO! ...(big smile)
That's it.
My party submission.

If you'd like to see more of the party and how others are showing off their copies of MMS...head on over.
There's lots of good submissions already!
Mine is among them.

If you came here from the party;
thanks so much for stopping by.
Please leave me a comment I'd like to know you've been here.

As always~

God Bless you all
and
thanks for reading.

Copy catting is what blogging is for, right? :) I have learned so much from so many talented ladies on here. I love seeing what other people do, take their ideas and turn them into my own.

Ahhhh yes. When that white dresser first came out, I squealed for you! I can see MMS influences everywhere I look. Lovely!

And that stove?!? Oh my... WANT.

I love the way you've displayed Billy Bass. Perfect with the copies of magazine covers just around the corner. That armoire is amazing. What a transformation.

I still drool over that stove. I'd so love to have one like that.

the wall color and the board and batten looks wonderful! Wow! and the armoire is too die for! Spotlighting your daugthers painting and "Billy Bass" makes this your cozy home and not just a copy! Lezlee

I love your little "corner of the world". Your home is a reflection of your personality. I love what you're doing. That vignette is so cute, the board and batten really adds to it. Loving the furniture pieces too! especially how well you painted the granddaughter's dresser (in these parts I call it a chest of drawers) :)

Wow!!! Your home is looking great! Your furniture re-dos are lovely, but so is the little corner and the wall vignettes. And your wall color is beautiful. Really nice!

Well, you need to tell us about the stove. It is quite different. How old is that piece and does it work? Is that two ovens I see?

You've really earned the "teacher's pet" title...good job on all of your projects! I love the corner re-do (the lamp is fabulous!) and everything else is so nice, too.

Love your billy bass solution! He really belongs there now. Your bird painted dresser came out so awesome too. I love that piece!
