Spring time means OUTDOOR projects and preparation for OUTDOOR LIVING at our house!
I made a list of some GOALS I’d like to see accomplished around our place this year. (2014)
The front porch is on that list. I’d love to see our front porch be the extended living area I’ve long dreamed of it being.
One thing that we need for the front porch to be a ‘living space’ …is lighting.
I wanted to show you a couple of the possibilities I found -- they are functional, cute and almost free!

My recent thrifting ventures have brought me closer to having cute lighting on the porch. Now, as soon as the weather straightens up and I get the rafters under the porch cover painted… I’ll have my light!
I would really like to go ‘solar’… but for now I’m probably going to do a combination of a couple of these ideas! Can you guess which ones I’m going with?

I used idea #3 in my chicken coop one year to decorate for Christmas. It looks like the easiest option. But my guess is a version of the canning jar option. Can't wait to see!
Cute- I love those ideas, Pat. My SIL just made something rustic and blingy for my granddaughter's new room. xo Diana
Great ideas for light. I have never thought of it. Looks beautiful too!
We need an electrical outlet on our front porch. That is on Hubby's to-do list this year. We don't have one, on account of how old the house is (ha ha).
I don't know which you're going with, but I love the fan! :)

I can't guess but I hope you do the jars! LOVE IT!!!!
Howdy! Oh, I love these!. I think I could SO DO #1! Thanks for the inspiration!. And the last one! Can't wait to see it you do one of these, but my mind is now whirling! Ann
All 3 are fun, but my favorite is the first one with the glass jars.
Ooohhhh! I vote for Number 1. Or Number 2.
hi Pat ... the canning jars would be more "you" and you likely already have the basket and jars to make it. It looks like they used small white lights and that may not give much light. Of course, you may be able to wire it using regular light bulbs. Number two would be a little harder to make but would provide the light you would need. I like number three and would enjoy doing that at Christmas for fun lighting. I know you will be happy with whichever your choose, but I bet you are leaning more to number one.

I jumped on the mason jar bandwagon long ago, so, needless to say, I LOVE the first photograph! Very neat. Can't wait to see what you come up with!!
