I'm Torn...

Between

being upset I DIDN'T get a BEFORE picture of this Highchair---

OR

Being completely OVER-JOYED that Honey spent a whole day
remaking
MY HIGHCHAIR
FROM MY
CHILDHOOD!

If you could just imagine
39 - er,uhm....
40 something years of
rust, dirt, wear and tear
on this little highchair.

Now, it is completely re-done and has new life.

I recovered the seats.
I had clear vinyl and fabric already.
It still needs little rubber feet thingies...
*edited to say, got the rubber feet, but not a picture, and now I use it everyday for my lil'grand-daughter!

This little chair was in the garage of my parents house
when Daddy sold it, after Momma passed.
Both my brothers and I  sat in this chair as children.
When we went to help Daddy
clean- up and move;
this little chair got thrown into the scrap metal trailer!

I grabbed it out at the last minute before they drove off- -
it's been in my barn for the last  3- 1/2 years.
Honey knew I wanted it made-over
and like a 'sweet heart' he is to me- -
He did it!

Isn't it cute?

Still can't believe I don't have one picture of the BEFORE!

oH well...

Hi! Thanks for the comment about my tea trolley makeover. In answer to your question, yes, I just used ordinary flyscreen mesh in place of the glass. As one pane was broken, I decied it would be much cheaper and add a farmhouse edge to use the mesh.

That is precious! I can't believe it's 30+ years old! It's looks pretty modern to me. I'm so glad you were able to save something so special.

Honey IS so sweet!!!!

That chair looks kinda familiar to this 39er (ehem!) too!!! We had one in our family that got passed around...and is probably now in a land fill!

Your chair looks brand new and very vintage - which I hear is in these days. Imagine it would look cute in a coffee shop for kids!!! Wouldn't that be cute??? A bunch of high chairs and babes drinking fun beverages out of there sippy cups!!!

I love your posts!!!!!
