Ever Have one of those days: Where have I been ?

Hidin'
In a Hole!

At first I was hidin' with just me and my little Aubree.

Then the youngest daughter showed up with her hubby and two boys.
The door opened and in walks my son- in law WITH A CHIHUAHUA...YES!
I'm thinking "Whew! I'm so glad you made it... "

By the time the second wave of bad weather is coming...
My dad and my nephew have arrived.
I'm thinking, " Is it me or is it hot in here?"

My Honey and
2nd SIL  and
Youngest Brother--
get home in between the 2nd and Last wave of Tornado Warnings to roll through our area...
I'm thinking, "That's 11 people---!!!"

I felt like I was in an episode of HAPPY DAYS!

Now I'm just thinking,
"Thank The Lord! that's over...
AND GOD SPARED OUR FAMILY!!!"

God Bless you
and Thanks a bunch for reading!

whoa! that's amazing! I just have a hole in the floor that some would call a basement. I don't know about you, but I am so over this bad weather! I haven't slept in a couple of weeks. Last night, I took my mother of the bride dress to the basement with me, cause I was afraid the tornado would blow it away. One more round today, and we're finished for a few days! I was suppose to be in n'ville already, but too much water in the basement, change of plans. :(
glad ya'll are all safe and sound!

Tornados just scare the heck out of me. Wish we had a safe place to go to but there's none close. We just sit in the closet and pray a lot. :)

Is the hidey hole ventilated? I get claustrophobia and would have been throwing about ten people out before the scare was over. lol

Hi Pat! I am so glad that you and your family are safe. This weather is just crazy! We had a watch but closer inland were warnings. I am so glad that you have a safe place to go.

Oh Pat!! I'm so glad you are all safe...and how about that hole in the ground??? WOW!!!!! You didn't mention how long you had to be there. Just curious! I agree with Gail, up there...so done with this weather. We were still having winter this spring and today it went all summer on us! HOTTER than HOT! And now it's clouded up and gettin' windy!!!!!!!!

Stay dry!

As the bad storms past us...while we sat in the living room of our Nashville home...they announced "it's ok to come out of your safe place"...we looked at each other and said, "were we supposed to be in the basement?"...oh well, we missed this one...lol...we're ok here, I'm still blogging...lol...just wondering something...with all this delightful shabbiness and ruffles...going around....are we starting a new clothing trend and we're supposed to start wearing this every day or just to flea markets???
Does anybody know? Mel's Cabin Designs..loves this new look!

Pat! I thought about you with all the storms and fires. So glad you have that shelter - although I want a complete tour! It's fascinating. So glad you are all ok. Ann

Thank God indeed! This year seems to be unusually violent. Everyday I hear of tornadoes somewhere - or floods. The temperatures have stayed too cool for too long. When it tries to warm up, it spawns all sorts of storms. I think we will be in for some this weekend again. Everyone in Iowa used to have a storm cellar in their yard just like yours. They've all but disappeared from the landscape. Not sure why. Probably because they figure basements are just as safe. I don't know about that. So glad you are all safe, I pray it stays that way!

How scary! I am so glad your family and you had somewhere safe to go...that is so funny about the "is it hot in here" I guess with 11 people it would be very warm! lol we even had tornado warnings in Michigan but it snowed instead! I will take the snow any day over those kind of storms! I am so glad you are safe and what a great shelter.. you could use it for a root cellar too!
